if only they were LED + these only come with 3m cable (not 5m as states) from plug socket to first bulb. Aldi are doing 10m led rope lights for 11.99, comes with 11m of cable from socket to first led.

i had a reindeer made out of this and the next year half the lights broke and then the others started blinking and went so i have doubts about how long these will last.
10m warm white from Homebase for £15. Has the advantage (to me) of having a normal 3-pin plug on the end with the transformer located a couple of feet further up the cable (rather than a plug with the transformer built -in). Not sure what's on the end of the lights from Argos.
