I hate Argos click and collect. I bought a fog lamp and got notification it arrived at Argos. Friend picked it up. Looked like it had been kicked around a football pitch, the lens was cracked. It was bubble wrapped but not good enough, the box lid was torn. I complained to seller and he sent me pics of it properly packaged. Ended up a right mess between him and post office and argos. Got a refund eventually.

I should add too, it's ok if an Argos is near you. My mate was in town so not a problem. However, it's 3 miles from me. Say on notification I decided to go into town to pick it up. 6 mile round trip. Fuel costs means bang goes a good part of my 500 nectar points! :confused: or bang goes my Nectar points totally if I only get 100 points.

Nah. That's why when selling on Ebay I NEVER offer click and collect. I have done, in error, because Ebay just love you to do it this way. Must be something in it for them. I have a note on pc to remind me to UNCLICK C&C whenever I list now.

All too much hassle, I want it to my door (if it looks bashed, I'll refuse it). Bringing in the third party just aggravates it IF a problem arises. I know it's good for people who are out but not for me.

I'm offended. They've only offered me 100 points! Why am I not worth 500 points? :wink:

Nectar's registration procedure is seriously flawed. If you don't have a mobile phone number to hand out to them then you can't register. Their error handling process is equally inadequate, so they exclude those without a mobile number or who are unwilling to gift their mobile number to a site with inadequate software. If they can't get a registration process right, I for one would not gift them my mobile number where protection against intrusion will have been written by the same incompetent team.

Loaded to card, ordered item with C&C selected as delivery option... and received email today from Yodel that they'd tried to deliver the item to the house. How are Nectar for awarding the points in the case of sellers unable to read?

I guess the offer did say I just have to select C&C... I genuinely wanted to try it too, to avoid having to stay in for a courier (he/she arrived at 8pm, when I wasn't in). What a pain.

Watch very carefully. They've just removed Ebay Nectar promotional points for the previous promotion for everyone accounts, supposedly being put back on in the next day.

I seem to have only got 296 points, which having had to walk to an out of town Argos to collect my Christmas lights due to broken down car, and then getting white instead of the coloured lights I ordered which I ended up not using, just tops off this particular crap story "nicely".

Hi thanks for the tips as now I have to raise a claim with Nectar about this offer.

I use live chat and they have no clue and saying other offer instead (of which I had to chase and eventually got it earlier as well).

I tell them I have a screenshot. In the end, nectar say they need 14 days to investigate. (PS Nectar also need all my ebay personal details - ID, email and address details, I don't know why as my ebay account already linked with nectar)

I tweeted nectar today, they asked for details by DM so I sent screen grabs of my nectar card from the app and the offer loaded to card screen. They straight away said they'd add points manually and just asked for my DOB. I supplied this and got message back saying points are on my card and could be viewed online immediately. And they were!

I do not get any update at all since contact nectar on 14.02.17 (been told to wait 14 days and nectar would let me know the decision),

l now just check my nectar account after reading your story. I am very surprise to see the 500 point had been add on 15.02.17. I think Nectar service is just hit and miss, I am glad nectar treat you as they should be. Cheers
