no wild goose chase. went and picked up the warm white ones today! got them untangled eventually and put them up. They are amazing for the price. built in timer is automatically set to go off after 8 hours and back on 16 hours later so i don't need to remember to turn them off, battery powered so don't need to run a cable from the house and plenty of functions.
