A 6.44" phone! Does it have noise cancelling technology to drown out the sound of laughter when you're holding it up to your ear?

I walk round the supermarket talking into my 8 inch phone. Couldn't care less if some children find it funny but have never had as much as a snigger.

Love this phone had it two weeks now and works well excellent on Three. Battery life is easily 1.5 days. Taken off charge at 5am this morning and with moderate use the battery life is 71%. I would have had to charge my Nexus 6 again by now. You do need big hands and pockets for this beast.

I used to walk around talking into a Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7. It got attention certainly but it seemed to be of curiosity and not derogatory - not that I cared.

The camera put me off on the mix. Watch some YouTube camera reviews, below average. I was looking forward to purchase it.

So excited about Mi Mix. Seems to be the best Android phone on the market right now.

Bought one for the Mrs a few weeks back. She was sceptical at first but has since grown to love it, especially the big battery. Also MIUI isn't anywhere near as bad as I thought. My head tells me to get one for myself, heart however wants the yet to be released MI Mix (costing 5 times as much!)

Which is £30 more though has 64gb, been wondering whether to pay the extra or just stick with my Note 3 Pro and wait for NFC(though I am coping without).

What are the advantages in getting the 652?
Wings18
3 Nov 16#21
It is worth the extra money, do you have a link for it ?
It would need the International Rom putting on it and you'd have to put Google Play Store on but it's worth the bit of hassle for such a bargain price!. Thanks!

3 Nov 16#25
Will be slightly nippier than the 650 processor. The 652 works better with the graphics performance and it's a newer chip.

It is a very nice looking device but there is no way in hell that anybody would get me to spend ~£500 on a phone and especially not on one from a Chinese brand.

You can get one with an international rom for £143 from geekbuying, it'll work on UK bands except for o2.
malky39 to sam_of_london
7 Nov 16#47
UK operators us bands 1, 3,7 and 20 of 4g so the only network you won't 4g at all on is O2 or any of its mvno's. Xiaomi do bring out some selected models for the Taiwanese market that have band 20.

Depends on what charger you use. If you use the basic one that comes in the box then about 4-5 hours. With a QC3.0 charger you could do it in half an hour though.
lianne21
8 Nov 16#52
Thanks Spark. That's a long time, is the supplied charger just a 1 amp then? I use 2 amp chargers so hoping 5 hours could be shortened as my current phones only take 2 hours.
Spark
8 Nov 16#53
I think it is but to be honest mine is still in the box. I bought a QC 2.0 charger in Hong Kong last year as well as a threaded USB cable so I have just been using those to charge my Mi Max since the day that it arrived.

I think it's worth paying extra to get 4GB of RAM along with the SD652 CPU, and 64GB or 128GB storage.
damadgeruk
8 Nov 16#57
4GB only on the 128GB which is £235 vs 3GB with the 64GB SD652 at £178 on Geekbuying at the moment. I find my Redmi Note 3 with 3GB/32GB and SD650 copes admirably well enough I couldn't justify the additional cost.
