I own both the xbox one s and the new ps4 slim. Download speeds of every update are exactly the same and perfect . The sensible thing to do with all games for both consoles is too take the console off line then install the game, Go back online and do the update. 6.6gb update would take half an hour max on my xbox one s, and I live in the middle of nowhere. You do need to stop posting this response on every xbox deal.

LOL Clearly a faulty unit but lets paint all the Xbox one devices in the same light as a faulty unit :smirk:
It was a bit of a silly question to ask when its information that can be easily googled?

From what I remember Black Friday console deals last year weren't that great. Serious doubt they will be better than the recent Tesco deals.

I'm returning my 3rd xbox one s with a faulty fan to tesco. the recent tesco 'deals' were most definitely not good.

Chance of them being better as the market is more competitive with the PS4 Pro being released this month. Likely to be of comparable value, though.

I'm seriously considering just returning the 3rd one and getting a refund, then getting the BF1 zavvi deal or this one. Then it'll definitely be a different batch.

Had similar issues with an Xbox one elite I got from Amazon, and installing from disc is atrocious - took 8-10 hours to install GoW from a disc lol, thank God I sent it back. The updates were just as bad, took about 3 days to download the Halo collection and I'm running on 40mbps fibre. Do not recommend The Xbox One system at all, which is a shame.

Just out of curiosity, what was the issue? Mine has a slight rattling noise to the fan and the games stutter about every 10 seconds for some reason. It's on its way back to Amazon now but was just curious what issues other are having with the s.

I just bought the grey version. Wish they would have just released black though. Oh well the grey looks better than the white anyway.

Probably best that you mention the console you bought was PREOWNED before you point out any problems you had.
As for download speeds again your problem comes down to you buying PREOWNED, for comparison -
"IHS: Xbox Live is faster and more reliable than PSN"
"Analyst IHS has concluded that Xbox Live remains the best online console network on the market."
"In an extensive report, IHS has, using a PS4 and Xbox One, found that Microsoft’s network remains both faster and more reliable than Sony’s.
The only metric in which PSN performed better was the speed of matchmaking, although that in itself was only a narrow victory."
My fans sound like ball bearings rattling around, it's not a slight noise and it's immediately noticable. You can hear it over games and movies quite clearly at points. There's clearly something wrong. Waiting to hear back from tesco about what to do next. They seem to be taking notice now I'm sending back the third one. If this happens again I've decided I'm gonna have a full refund and try the 219.99 BF1 deal instead. I will never buy anything electronic from Tesco Direct ever again and I would strongly advice everyone against ever doing so, they are an absolute disgrace

Actually it wasn't pre-owned, yes it was from Amazon Warehouse - but the box was still stealed. The console had not been unwrapped, it was still in all packaging. Don't assume - I would have said had it been PRE- OWNED. Also you really didn't need to go searching specifically for a post I made months ago when I purchased this item, to prove an invalid point - I do remember buying it, and as I said it was sealed. I was stating an experience I've had and I would not recommend an XB1 based on that experience, but that's my opinion. Two of my cousins bought an elite each from Game and have the exact same issues, so it being faulty is debatable.
The deal is hot regardless, because it is a great price for someone that does want the console. The 360 was great and I'd like to think they've fixed any of the previous issues with the new S model.

Thanks for the warning. Bought mine from Amazon a few months ago and even though it said return period was over they just said do u want a replacement or a full refund. Didn't even have to pay for the return shipping, can't really grumble with that service is suppose.
