Update: after going in to store 4 days running with no joy at no discounts on the numerous models I gave it a rest Friday and didnt get in till early afternoon Saturday :disappointed: you can guess what....
Some of the interesting different stuff ..all gone, the Worx 426 of which there were 27 on Wednesday were down to the last 5 (now @£30) but price matched to £25 for me  the non boxed/non laser/1 blade version was also £25, couple of power drills@ £30 not for me , but still VFM and I picked up a sonicrafter multitool for £20
Still absolutely no budging on the Jawhorse(the thing I wanted most LOL.

Ive been told by a store that wont budge that there new rules for discount stock are that once its worth £300 or less (stock) they can reduce the price again (half) but as there are like 27 saws at mine I'm buggered :disappointed:
and the Jawhorse they claim isn't even on discount(at this store its £79 or whatever:(
sooo frustrating...

Wandsworth won't either and Battersea had them at £40 and won't budge so took it for now unless I find cheaper else where.

Just ask for a price match, make sure you have contacted the store that you want to price match with first to make sure of the price and the stock level, then see if your local store will match it

Just went into the St Albans store - they were still all at the more expensive price, wanted the guild press drill which was £54.99 - got this really nice bloke to ask the manager if he would do it for £25, which he did. Very hit and miss, but they are end of line and all at managers descretion.

You have to ask the manager to reduce. He will knock 50% off that price.

Yes and no. There are a few extra items reduced here not mentioned elsewhere such as all the Black and Decker stuff. Plus the prices are cheaper. Anyhow, as mentioned in the description, I hope this helps people ;-)

Not really true: since these are changing prices and specific to each store it's very handy to plot the reductions and check locally. Don't be a miserable grump, after all you opened the thread! :disappointed:

From speaking to the young lady on the counter, I believe they are reduced. Homebase was closing for the night so couldn't see for myself but had a chat about all the crazy good reductions going on at the moment. I bought the Worx Saw at £59.95 and find it brilliant. Gotta say, Horsham Homebase staff are my favourite Homebase team. Always so helpful and polite.

Fat Max cordless drill for £19 you say? I wonder if people that have bought them for £30 would be able to use return and get it reduced.
