Yes it will work, been playing it this morning. You need to pick up a 500R gift card from the Russian Microsoft store, make a Russian Xbox account, add the credit you your account, purchase the game using points. Bit fiddly first time you do it but it's worth it for future savings.

I went for the The Game of the Year edition, I believe these deals are running till next Friday and that this is early access for Gold subscribers (Also if this is your thing The Witcher 2 is reduced as well for 360 and is backwards compatible).

So we get ripped off here then and allow them to continue doing it by carry on buying games!
