This went HOT before, but now it's even cheaper. To some up the comments on the last post: these are OEM keys, not VLKs.

Warning to all (potential) buyers:

This selling website (www.scdkey.uk) is in fact hosted by a never-known company in a poor city (Tongling) of a poor province (Anhui) of China. You can check via here: https://www.scdkey.uk/staticPage/userSafety. You should be worried about where you money going to and how such a lack-of-valid company can provide you a reliable CDKEY, even it might come with a cheap price, you don't want to get involved in any legal or data losing troubles in future due to this doubtful purchase, I assumed.

In fact, this website (company) is trying to cheat everyone. If you switched around the 'regions' of this website operated (look right top side), you can see that in English US and English UK, in 'About Us' section, it didn't state where this company located. But if you switched to France and Italy, it then stated (faked) itself in 'About Us' section as located in Hong Kong! But look at the information provided in above: this company is actually located in a little city of mainland China. I assumed that is some kinds of cheating, information misleading, etc.?

I knew many people look for a cheap CDKEY anyway but hey, why pay to a cheating company when you might still have a chance to get some FREE cdkey or resources from somewhere else?

Lol. It's really funny how upset some people get when they are told they are not buying legal keys. as I said last time, people can do as they please. but if you think you are getting legal keys paying less than large OEM do, you're kind of deluded.

LOL - it is so funny how some people get upset on here when they are told what they are buying is not a legal licence key. As I said in the other post, do what you want. But if you think by paying less than large OEM's do for a Windows licence you are somehow magically legal and running a legitimate copy of Windows you are just so deluded. I don't understand why anyone would pay someone £12 when they can get the same result for nothing just looking online.

Couple of notes and tips on win 7 to 10 updates that failed, when the win 7 fail to update as I'd had 2 do it, it naffs he auto update program and microsoft have to remote and sort it out so check this on yours.
If you did try to update and failed you can still get win 10 as it logs your pc as try'd to install before the cut off. Agaon get microsoft online to do the install.

Wasn't going to bother commenting but here's my 2cents.

OEM keys are completely legal. The Supreme Court ruled over any organisation stating what can and cannot be done with a license after it's first sold quite some time ago.

Ignore the scare-mongering keyboard warriors with the legal credentials of monkeys, who think they've passed the bar. You'll find them scouring every online forum.

That being said, THESE OEM keys are most likely being re-sold to numerous people or they're volume keys which in turn will eventually be blocked. It's a Chinese company after all!
You should buy from a UK company at least.

You can easily check if a key is OEM or not by using a simple PID checker online.

Microsoft can say what they like, but are not the law of the land, fortunately.

How is this hot ? I don't get it.

It's clearly illegal. The consumer will eventually get screwed over. You can get W10 free if you just look around.
People who defend such companies boggle my mind. You can do whatever you want it's your money in the end but at least inform the consumer as objectively as possible so he knows what it is he's buying.

Trustpilot are untrustworthy! They charge companies for reviews but also remove bad ones if the company complains (and is still paying their subscription), when a company stops using them they allow bad reviews to flood in.

There's not many truly independent verified review websites these days, you can pay people to write thousands of reviews, fake facebook likes and instagram and twitter followers etc.

I'm surprised, people knowingly want to put spyware on their computer.
Like the many who give their soul to Google just for "free" products, like Android/Chrome.

Have some decency and self-respect people, while you still some-what have free-speech and own your own thoughts.
You wouldn't want to live in a glass house or go to a glass toilet, so why give yourself so cheaply to Google and now Microsoft?

Stick to Windows 7/8 and turn off suggested updates (apply only critical security updates), and opt-out of "Customer Experience" program and you'll be fine for many years to come.

The more people shun Google's soul-selling products and Microsoft's Windows 10, the more companies will be forced to create privacy-orientated systems and apps.

Sorry for the rant, but this stuff drives me crazy, and should you also :disappointed:

Anyone considering Windows 10 might want to read this,

One of the biggest worries, though, is Microsoft’s policy on disclosing or sharing your personal information. The following is an excerpt from the privacy policy:

“We will access, disclose and preserve personal data, including your content (such as the content of your emails, other private communications or files in private folders), when we have a good faith belief that doing so is necessary to protect our customers or enforce the terms governing the use of the services.”

http://www.techrepublic.com/article/windows-10-violates-your-privacy-by-default-heres-how-you-can-protect-yourself/

Another article states,

According to Ars Technica, even after you tell Microsoft that Windows 10 shouldn’t make any Internet-related inquiries while you’re using it, it appears that Windows 10 still pings Microsoft for various information.

I bought this OEM key to upgrade a Dell laptop from Windows 10 Home to Pro and had problems.

I formatted the HDD on the laptop, downloaded a copy of Windows 10 Pro (supposedly) Rebooted to the new Windows 10 ISO and no key was asked for. Win 10 home just installed instead. I was never asked for a product key.

I entered the new key into "change my product key" and it was rejected. In desperation (I still don't know why I tried it) I entered my old Win 8.1 Pro product key and it just updated to Windows 10 Pro.

I have been told that the there is a digital license installed on any machine supplied with Windows 10 so just trying a new OEM key will not work. It make work on a genuine new build but not as an upgrade.

Windows 10 - the bane of my life.
WHY did I upgrade?
F. updates etc almost daily that just f. up and alter everything about the way I want to work.

I got more done and quicker on a Apple Classic in the 80s.

I simply HATE Windows 10 and Microsoft. Last week I couldn't even access Edge so went to Explorer but now M.Edge is back - Hooray! Thank god for small mercies. Daily I get message after message... Especially this one: Would you recommend your Windows 10 build to a friend?
YOU MUST BE F. JOKING!!!!

Edit to add
Perhaps I should say, I have friends who have bought with 10 already installed and don't seem to have so many problems, if any. However, I have yet to meet anyone in my circles who has 'upgraded' to 10 who does not have continual problems. So there you have it. If you ain't getting problems, lucky ol' you.

Does anyone know where I can get a good value genuine copy of Windows 10? I don't have the upgrade option so I need to do a full install. The only versions from reputable sellers seem to be £80+... :disappointed:

That's around the price you'll pay for a legitimate (most likely OEM) version - anything that's considerably less is almost certainly not a genuine legitimate licenced version.

There are many many companies that often appear to be a UK based company (but are usually not) selling Win 10 for £15 to £25 - be very suspicious of them all.

Just like the Opium Pulse deal for Windows licenses that are of very questionable legitimacy, you may wonder if a website could earn some sort of commission based on click throughs. If such a click through could earn your website some money then you may have discovered the answer to your question.

When you do free upgrade from 7 to 10 - you get home edition

there is a difference between windows home and windows professional.

your average pc user however will only need windows home

I'm not sure what point you're making? As I understand it, if you already have the Pro version of Win 7/8 installed (or a Pro licence key) then the free update via Microsoft will be to Win 10 Pro (and obviously Win 7/8 Home updates to Win 10 Home) without needing to enter this or any other new licence key.
I believe the licence key in this deal is to allow you to perform a clean/new install of Win 10 Pro, regardless of what existing OS, if any, is on the machine.

Just reactivate windows, you shouldn't need to buy new. In any case, no one should be buying this.

48 hours into a fresh install. KEY IS NOW REJECTED.
badboyofrock

Cos they're illegal. Note the wording on the website, it says 'Windows Key' and not 'Windows licence'. From windows 10, the only legal place to buy a windows licence is from Microsoft.

For those using a USB3 stick, download RUFUS sub installer. That's what I used to make a installation usb stick since Windows official tool only uses usb 2

How much do large OEMs gets it for?
willyvwade

They usually pay based on the ticket price of the machine. Some low end (netbooks, atom tablets, etc) machines get free licenses. Refurbished OEM keys are about $6 a pop.
