This is my first post so sorry if it is already posted.
I have noticed similar offers on this machine however they all appear to be black and red or all red machines.
This machine is white with some black. Plus the 2 years standard guarantee from John lewis.
You get £75 reward credit to spend on anything at Nespresso essentially making the cost of the machine £24.95 as you will get any coffee or accessories upto £75 for free.
Also potentially extra cashback available for Santander 123 credit card account customers.
Hopefully helpful to someone not wanting a red machine
PS Thanks to AJ92's information in the comments --potential for extra savings using Zeek.me to purchase John Lewis vouchers at a cheaper price + potential Quidco cashback of upto 16.5% on the Zeek purchase if you click through Quidco.

Yep several orders of magnitude better - particularly when talking about milk based drinks, as Tassimo put sugar in all of their milk pods. With this you are using fresh milk with no added sugar to ruin your drink
The only thing to watch out for is you need to clean it regularly - thats the main downside to the all-in-one type of nespresso machine like this. Personally I prefer the separate espresso maker + milk "heater" as the cleaning is much simpler, but that's just personal preference

No problem, this deal is marginally cheaper than the AO deal plus the advantage of the additional cashback if you have a 123 credit card : )

Ordered mine from here last night as wasn't keen on the red, would have preferred all black but not seen them on offer.
You should add John Lewis to your title, heat added

Thanks, took your advice RE the title. Also believe House of Fraser was selling the all black one but appears to have sold out altogether.

I got red through AO on TCB with Cashback and bonus which effectively made it £80 with £75 credit so ends up being £5 which isn't too bad tbf.

Tassimo machines take different branded pods for different hot beverages; think costa (coffee pods), cadbury's (chocolate pods) and twinings (tea blends) and so on so forth.
Nespresso machines like this one are designed only for coffee pods. You can buy coffee pods made by 3rd parties like Waitrose right through to Lidl and even independent sellers on eBay import pods from Italy. I have a nespresso machine and have tried various pods and found the nespresso branded pods to be the best tasting coffee.
I have recently noticed PG tips offering tea pods for nespresso machines so if you look hard enough you can find chocolate pods but I suspect the nespresso system isn't as suited to drinking multiple styles of beverage as the tassimo system, I.e. One is designed as marketed only for coffee (nespresso system) and the other is marketed for multiple beverage styles (tassimo system).
Final word. There'll be nespresso naysayers out there rubbishing what I'm about to say - if you go with nespresso just for coffee, don't bother with third party pods, go with the nespresso branded pods. The taste / texture is consistent all the time.

Good deal, but how does it compare ot the Aeropress dela from Amazon?

Aeropress is a manual / hand pump system for brewing coffee. As far as comparing an aeropress deal to a nespresso deal - it makes no sense to compare deals as you are buying into different methods of coffee prep.
I have an aeropress setup that I use every now and then - aeropress is much cheaper to start off and cheaper in the long run than the nespresso system.
But note the results vary in terms of your technique with brewing coffee via the aeropress method, and there is a definite technique to it.
Nespresso is a more expensive setup and the coffee works out more expensive on an ongoing basis. But the resulting coffee is more consistent on an ongoing basis.

I had the pixie and aeroccino, I.e. The separate espresso and milk heater setup you speak of.
I moved on to the latissima touch setup (an upgraded version of the machine on this deal, 6 touch buttons as opposed to 4 press down buttons).
You're right. The integrated milk frother heater thing is a fussy thing to clean up and keep clean. The previous setup was much faster, simpler and easier to maintain.

This is a fantastic price for a fantastic machine. This frother is totally different to the aerocino, I don't understand why Abu says it's a fiddle to clean. Run the two pipes under a running tap, wash the milk container and rinse out the head. Or stick the lot in a dishwasher if you have one. It makes fabulous cappacino and macchiato. It is really easy to burn the Aerocinno, if you fail to clean it properly after you've made the drinks it will burn and that's not covered under warranty.

I phoned JL customer services and was told by the female representative that they were expecting another 800 of these (split across online stock and in-store stock) over night, although stock may not clear and show online until this afternoon.
So keep your eyes peeled as more stock hopefully should show soon.
I got lucky after getting a heads up from another member on the ao.com thread and another half a dozen appeared out of nowhere. Bagged one straight away.
