Just happened to pop in to Tesco, and noticed quite a few deals on the games. Watch Dogs 2 had no price on so checked at till, and its going for £32. Still £42 on the website.
Bought my copy on release for £37 just completed and resold today on ebay for £39.50 not bad deal lol

I must admit, I get a certain fascination from watching the heat on deals I post. This is currently the best price for this game, yet people are still voting cold.
I guess some people just want to watch the world burn....or in this case, freeze.

You are probably spot on. The game has garnered good reviews which should give it a good longer term outlook. It came out at a bad time (against big hitters like battlefield and COD) unfortunately.
I do hope it does well as by all accounts it is a very accomplished game - I am especially impressed with the graphics. A solid framerate in an attractive sandbox world. Few devs actually manage that these days. Also they are looking after their customers with patches - the recent ps4 pro patch to fix the framerate is a big plus.

It's a good price, and well worth it if critical reviews are anything to go by.
Ubisoft are more or less telling investors poor sales are down to the effects of austerity, but they're convinced they've got a top game here and have stated more players and word of mouth may result in an immediate upsurge in sales - that being the case they may well NOT drop prices further.
Nobody can say with any certainty which way things will go - this may be as good as it gets pricewise, personally it's for my son, and maybe he's got enough already, so maybe he can wait.
btw heat added Op, good find

Well impatience got the better of me and I went ahead and ordered on Amazon for £30. According to reviews its a great game so I'm not going to complain too much if I have overspent by £5 or £10

Took a bigger hit in sales than any other follow up game - dropped a shocking 80% in launch sales compared to first Watch Dogs.
Could be a whole bunch of reasons for it, but moneymen will more than likely push for more price cuts to grab a bigger slice of the all-important seasonal market; expect it to drop further elsewhere - and soon (if games industry watchers are to be believed).

This is a great game, bought for £40 last week but I don't regret it at all. A really fun open world game with sub-par driving but brilliant everything else. Also £32 is quite the steal for such a new game.

How much stock was at that branch for Xbox One?

It was indeed, and they said they had plenty of stock of both. Mainly as they had not bothered to put any copies out of the PS4, and think only just put out the Xbox stock. They still have the pre-order tickets out

They had Assassin's Creed Syndicate for £14, Titanfall 2 for £28, Dishonored 2 for £30 and Bioshock Collection for....well, I forgot, but it seemed a decent price.
