Amazon have a bunch of Fire 6's in various specs for £28/£29 - Only black is available as 16gb currently, other colours in 8gb. Only a few at the moment, but these keep coming in and out of stock all week so worth keeping an eye on if they do vanish.
All USED from the Warehouse deals. I received mine in the week and it's in perfect condition despite being listed as just "good" with a mark on it (not that I've found!) Was just repackaged in an amazon branded box. So not ideal for gifts, unless you have understanding friends and family...
They come with "special offers" (read amazon adverts on the lock screen) but I spoke to Amazon via chat and had them removed for free - stated i didn't have the option to buy without and already pay for all the services advertised! Removing them seems to be the standard response and was actioned immediately.

I've managed to install play store on mine but having trouble installing a launcher (nova) because it won't let me change from the default fire launcher in the settings.. Has anybody had success with doing this?

i had a look at the manage your content and devices page on my amazon account. it seems one has come subscribed to the special offers and the other hasn't. it do seems to be luck of the draw
can't be bothered trying again with live chat so will just leave them how they are.

I find the weekend staff on chat to be very script driven. Try during the daytime/early evening!
I set up my kindle, then contacted them, so they could see the device on my account and actioned straight away (think there has been some confusion as to when i asked!)
There's no way to buy a Fire 6 without the offers currently, which seemed to be why the removed it. It's not clear you have a discount, nor are the offers relevant to most users. - mainly because they are just adverts, not offers!

did they remove the special offers free of charge? went on chat during the week and they said yes no problem but required the serial numbers to do it but they had not arrived. They told me they would put a note on my account so when i get receive them i could get it sorted straight away.
just had a 30 minute battle as they now want to charge me £10 to remove them :disappointed:

mine finally arrived yesterday with a months extra prime for my troubles :smile: i have never really got on with tablets but i am made up with these, they look brand new. shame you can't add more storage but for the money i will survive streaming stuff. one of them was stuck on fire hd for kids but soon worked out how to get rid of that.
now to get back on chat to get the ads removed :stuck_out_tongue:

Just grabbed a black 16gb one of these for £23.98, they seem to be infrequently going in and out of stock as they get them.
I know the Fire 7 is only £30 right now but i want the Fire HD 6 for better PPI, resolution, and the size suits me better to use in bed or around the house.

Great price, I bought two last Christmas for my children and they were much better than the hudl2. I would definitely recommend one to those who are asking about them for kids. Really durable also (unless I have got lucky) and at this price they are a bargain! The white is back instock :smiley:

I would say so yes - depends what they will use it for, but you can put lots games and apps on them, and you get parental controls (though I don't know how they work - people in the reviews seemed to like it)
