Was with Three on their 3-2-1 PAYG plan, all fine as a light user, but then they switched on 4G in my area so a monthly deal was more sensible. Second best result as below, indoors around half the download speed.

I just rung Virgin to get my PAC code and was told that I could have 4g from Monday, for £14, thats 2000mins, 5000 texts and 4gb of 4g data. Think he said his name was Pinnochio.

Ring up & see if they'll move you across to the new deal.
If they don't, request a PAC code & get another free sim (eg 02). Order the sim in thus deal. Then get a PAC code for the 02 sim and port across to the new 3 Sim....
Thus benefiting from extra 2Gb data for less money...but will require some time & effort!!

I got this deal a few weeks ago and had a terrible experience. No signal at all. Awful customer service. Made multiple calls to customer service and had multiple live chats to try and cancel during the 14 day cooling off period. Cancelling during the cooling off period was very difficult. I was left without a phone for a week while they deactivated my SIM and then I had to chase them for my PAC code, as they sent it to my deactivated number. They kept on giving me the hard sell trying to get me to pay for a month so they could give me my PAC code straight away. I had such poor service I refused to pay a penny, which meant I was left without a phone as the only way to cancel without paying was by deactivating my SIM.

Three are brilliant in my experience, they deal with all requests quickly. They do give you the run around when you try to leave granted. I think if you get a good signal in you're area like I do there isn't another network that can touch them in terms of value and service. I get 70meg where I leave and love it.

even my mobile was using 'Cell Standby' or something under battery stats, which ended up using around 200mAh throughout a day, I've never seen that before with any other network, apparently it was my phone trying to boost the signal.

"Three Essential Plan 4GB for the price of 1GB 4GB data. All-you-can-eat minutes. All-You-Can-Eat texts. 12 month contract. £9.00 a month." - from the product page on the Three website. So 1GB contract with free 4GB upgrade for presumably 12months.
Topcashback is the same apparently - people thinking because it says 4GB it's a 4GB contract when it's actually only 1GB with a freebie upgrade, so cashback is at the lower rate.
Still a pretty good price at effectively £6.50 a month. I'm tempted.

Had Talktalk tell me I was out of contract no penalty or charge then was sent a bill for £180 was stuck for hours before they actually cancelled with no penalty. Virgin haven't refunded me money. Or cancelled my contract as stated either. I was in a 2 year battle with EE over no service until finally they let me out of the contract but were so damn rude. Vodafone have been stealing people's money all over the country. My point is, they all suck and you have to fight every single one of them on things that should be oh so simple. Only spoke with one person from three so far and they spoke English so that was a plus.

Yeah, I quite liked virgin for a long time and was always recommending them until I was told about a deal that didn't exist and to call them back for it. There is little point in this kind of discussion, its all very subjective. Some places have good signals, some poor. If you are getting a sim, choosing one which is good at home isn't necessarily a good one in other areas. Customer service, well that depends who you talk to, what day it is, and the mood they, and you are in. You take your pick and live with it until renewal time.

Just to update, quite a few existing customers (@slliw @Jijin2 @lisaenglish71 @El Franko) mentioned they got on the unlimited minutes+texts+4GB Advanced (ie includes Feel at Home & Tethering) plan for £10/month for 12 months (extra kudos to @damadgerk & @bigbak who got it for £9/month. BUT there's a workaround  !! I'll post as a separate deal as it's hard to follow in these comments, but if anyone subscribed to this thread wants to check out what to do I'll put the link here when it's up.

Was with Three on their 3-2-1 PAYG plan, all fine as a light user, but then they switched on 4G in my area so a monthly deal was more sensible. Second best result as below, indoors around half the download speed.
Still a fiver more and deal still not as good as 3. I kow that 3 haven't always had the best reputation, but I might be tempted to give it a try.
If they don't, request a PAC code & get another free sim (eg 02). Order the sim in thus deal. Then get a PAC code for the 02 sim and port across to the new 3 Sim....
Thus benefiting from extra 2Gb data for less money...but will require some time & effort!!
I am paying £12 for 200mins Unlimted Data and 4GB of tethering.
And some people have even better deals so deffo call up and ask for something matey.
And yeah I have Feel at home also.
Call them, if they don't budge, ask for a PAC code then call them bk with a bluff from which they might do something for you
If so has this expired as it states in bold text I highlighted
"SIM Essential 4GB + AYCE Min (12mths) Promo
All-you-can-eat cross-network mins + All-you-can-eat texts + 4GB Mobile Internet Browsing + Wi-Fi on London Underground + 3 months Deezer
Date of promotion runs from 2nd September to 3rd November.
Also how do you get the £50.50 TCB please give me an idiot's guide! Thanks
Mobile contracts 12,18,24 months
£50.50 plus Mobile shop.com gives Free Gift: £10 Guaranteed Cashback
So hopefully it's tracked by tomorrow!
Just checked tcb showing £25.25 so will have to submit a claim soon!
even my mobile was using 'Cell Standby' or something under battery stats, which ended up using around 200mAh throughout a day, I've never seen that before with any other network, apparently it was my phone trying to boost the signal.
Make a claim through Topcashback for their highest cashback guarantee... That way it'll be even better than the Quidco offering....
Topcashback is the same apparently - people thinking because it says 4GB it's a 4GB contract when it's actually only 1GB with a freebie upgrade, so cashback is at the lower rate.
Still a pretty good price at effectively £6.50 a month. I'm tempted.
Don't forget the refer a friend trick, you can refer yourself with a different email and both get vouchers. Have a goodie for it, think its £50 in total.
Cant believe idiots vote this hot...as USWITCH prettty much steal cashback ie the £25 youd get from tcb
The guy at the other end said the allowance will stay the same even after the 12 months.
Anyone manage to do both Amazon refer a friend and quidco together ?

Quidco tracked at 30
The catch is this contract is 1gb with extra 3gb data so still classed as 1gb package. Mine tracked at 30.10 or something was promised to pay in December
Voted hot.
I did quidco only and tracked just after an hour
Thanks for posting this deal - I've been meaning to call Three for changing my expired plan. I'm now on this deal after being on my lapsed 1GB deal for a few years...
Tried again, got back to someone else who has done it for £10
So on my current talktalk contract I've effectively got to pay up until the 25th of this month, so really I don't want to start this three deal until nearer that date... Is it possible to order this, then not 'activate it' until later this month and then I can start the new SIM cycle then?
Or does the new 3 SIM start immediately?

Lots of people like you don't check to see if they can get a signal from the provider before taking out a contract then moan after about not getting signal we see it on here all the time.
I'm obliged...
BUT there's a workaround  !! I'll post as a separate deal as it's hard to follow in these comments, but if anyone subscribed to this thread wants to check out what to do I'll put the link here when it's up.
P.S. @iamryan I find that softly softly catchee monkey works better than abuse (though as @philipgregson58 quite rightly says it totally 'depends who you talk to, what day it is, and the mood they, and you are in'
