I had a go on one of these, really poor stuff, strings wont hold tune for a few strums so sounds terrible. For £15 you can get a bugs gear plastic uke that holds tune and is pretty indestructible for kids.

Just picked up this one from Argos for the same price. Not sure if it's as good, but could be a decent shout if you can't get hold of one in Lidl.
