Started playing today after buying. Literally couldn't stop and completed single player...so good! Campaign short but brilliant...rather have that then long and dull!

Yep I agree I reckon the idiot shooter thing is in the way out. I feel overwatch has had a massive impact on cod and the like. That's just going by the kids up till 3am playing overwatch and not cod any more :stuck_out_tongue:

Well that sucks, on Origin i entered the promo code but it didn't have an 'Apply' button so i assumed it would auto apply, clicked buy and it charged me £33, poo.
Requested a refund because dammit i want that discount, did i miss something here?

Actually, there have been issues with 4K and TF2. I played for a few days at 1080p as it showed that as the maximum resolution available. There may have been an update to fix it, as it suddenly resolved itself.

funny only shows 1080p for me only way i could get 4k is to use nvidia experience

The origin refund policy as mentioned above is really good. You have 24 hours from first launching the title to refund. I would recommend playing at least the tutorial and a mission or two of the campaign to get used to the mechanics before jumping into multiplayer.

Personally I ended up refunding on PC as I thought the mechanics were better suited to console and PS4 has the larger population. Also despite it being a better port than many on a gtx 970 the frame rate has constant drops well bellow 100fps with most settings to low. It's not up there with the likes of say Doom or Overwatch which will give you a solid 120 and above frame rate.

max 1080p? what nonsense. It supports 4k. I'm happily playing at 2560x1440.

Time to sort your PC out I don't think your P90 is cutting it any more :wink:

well from what iv'e read so far dev's say its to early to know if there will be a titanfall 3 however sales were apparently only a quarter of what the first game had so id be surprised if there was. i kinda got bored with the whole run around as fast as u can and jump around like an idiot shooters tho tbh, prefer games like rainbow 6 where u actually have to be careful and think about things

Wonder will they make another one. Sounds like ea might not wanna risk it but maybe they have no choice because it would be a risk to do another new game to compete with cod too.

How on earth can anyone judge it after 20 minutes?! That's probably not even enough to do the tutorial section which shows nothing of the proper game...

I haven't played cod but did complete bf3. It looks amazing but it's an incredibly shallow game. Really wish they would make a good game with that engine, perhaps a single player Star Wars? Either way I've kinda lost hope on any decent game coming from EA now. You actually pay more to play their games and they are really standard affairs. FIFA is alright but the ball physics never change.

Think I'll maybe try this anyway and if really standard that'll do me with ea I think.

Well the first didn't really have a single player and the MP was a bit crap, this has better loadouts, more titans (varied with abilities) and enjoyable game modes like bounty hunt which sees 2 teams fight against NPC's and bank money while avoiding being shot by the other team since you'll lose 50% of the money you collect to them. Other game modes in MP are variants on team deathmatch/king of the hill etc.

As for the Single Player it's fantastic, you'll get a reasonable amount of hours out of it (suggest playing on Hardened for the best experience). Think of it like Mirror's Edge + COD with some platforming/puzzle elements. The bond between you and your Titan is great - plus unlike the MP you'll be able to acquire new "Titan loadouts" to switch on the fly at any moment.

Really for this price it's worth it and like I said before I prefer this over the recent COD/Battlefield having played all 3. Single player isn't as good as DOOM earlier this year (though it has a better "story", DOOM was mainly about shoot everything with little narrative) but it's probably the best all round package with MP/SP I have played all year. TLDR, just grab it :smiley:

They said sales on the game were not great (not surprised when its released a week out from BF1) but it's definitely one of the better games this year, great PC port as well - which many recent games lack.

I'd maybe get it for this price. Please be honest, is it much better than the first one?? I thought the first one was really crap tbh :disappointed:

Edit. It's prob not selling at all on pc by the look of this price so early .

The last Single Player FPS I liked was Half-Life 2... I'm so done with the genre, I only play for the online now.
