I have one of these from when it was this price over a year back, suction is good but throws a cloud of dust out the other side, didn't come with anything to block it off :/ shame really

I would have thought that both the foam filter and the dust-collection bag are aimed at collecting the dust from the air before it's thrown out of the exhaust vent. Are you using both of those items correctly? Are they in place?

I have this hoover and it's really good, but I had to buy a better pipe as the one it comes with is rubbish

Pipes and floor head is naff. Vacuum itself is ok. Good for cleaning ash from a fire. Workshop. Car. No good for carpets unless you have a better pipe and head you can use.
