Just got an emailed with Sim only deals from MobilePhonesDirect.co.uk, one of them includes Three network for £10pm which includes an £24 Cashback divided in monthly terms, so effectively £8pm, which is quite a deal imo!
Potential cashback from TCB/Quidco, haven't had a look
On my income, I want to know what's actually going out of my account each month and not an "effective" price. If it says £9 on the tin, then it's £9 a month.
The cashback would be handy for other things, but I certainly wouldn't count it towards the price of the contract.

I took Sim only deal unlimited minutes and texts and 4gb data £9 a month and I am well pleased with the service.

was going to do same until I seen the voda deal 20gb/4gb unlimited inc roaming for £10 by redemption and if you add quidco then its £8.75.
EE match the Three 4gb deal last week for £8.99 as well, Part of me is still thinking of staying with EE but it don't include any roaming at all which is a shame and if they offered 8gb then I would strongly consider it

I got this deal for actual £9 a month, not pretend £8 a month. And the Deezer offer isn't zero impact either, it'll come out of your data allowance.

Pretend? What you on? I've been with MPD and claimed cash back every periodic month. It's bit of work, but worth it

You missed the point, The prior poster was posting they were 4g Only not 3G then 3G was Threes unique selling point at launch.

Gave them a call, the guy said they rarely match quotes. He said this deal is £22 for them, and that they wouldn't be able to match it.

im on a plan from 3 atm, get 2 gb, unlim texts and like 200 mins and pay 11 per month, so this is a good deal.
watch out with mobilephonesdirect, ive heard about plenty of people having issues with this site before... customer service... cashback claims and such :/

Been with them for 11 months , had 4 cashback claims and all has gone smoothly.
Those having issues are those who have forgot to submit cashback claims and making a noise about it. Hardly MPD's fault.
No complaints from me

hi guys. i just made an order today. but not sure worth posting a thread as cashback is not guaranteed.
i bought the £18 8gb 600m from three with £50 quidco cashback and 3 months of free credit.
(18*12) = 216
-50-18-18-18 = 112
effectively less than £10/m for 8gb and feel at home. i was thinking of getting the £19/m before cashback and you will get 12gb/m but thats only come with 200m. so i opt for 8gb. i dont use as much to be honest.
if you choose 19/m. effective u pay about 121 for a year. not much difference than the 18. hope you enjoy!!!
i do hope quidco tracks and will be able to claim. last time i had no problem getting the cash back.

I got the deal last week for £9 with £30 cashback. I also got 3 months free deezer and cancelled spotify immediately, saving another £30. It has the free wifi calling app too if your signal is poor at home like mine is. It works perfectly. I know there is no tethering but for me the internet speed when out and about makes it worth it. Just left giffgaff where I struggled to use 500mb per month as it was so slow. Voted hot

If I'm currently with Three (2GB), how do i go about switching to this?

I believe you could try and ask them now on their chat, they are based in India so middle of the day for them, use Three app and don.t forget to let us know

This is for Essential plan so no tethering/foreign use unless you plan to upgrade at some point later. There are other options: Quidco+Three directly, or recommend a friend way 2x £25 Amazon cards..
PS. If you choose same plan as OP's deal and use quidco instead, it should cost you effectively £8.60.

Oh the irony. Three launched as the first 3G network, then had to rapidly put in cover on 2G with other networks as the network coverage wasn't that good..
