Asda brushed steel kettle. Priced at £10 but scans at £5, which is the same price as their basic plastic model. 2 year guarantee which usually means a straight swap at Asda. Loads on the shelf at the Yeovil store. Doesn't show online, so I guess it's clearance stock. Receipt and barcode available if needed

It's a good kettle. Had it a few months. It does have a plastic window unfortunately - for those looking to avoid plastic in contact with the water. And it's pretty useless behind the handle. So would rather it weren't included.
Some metal leaf water markers inside would be best.
But it's no nonsense, smart and functional.

Morrisons have a value range kettle too, for £5. I can't speak for longevity, but the Morrisons kettle is plastic, so maybe this is the better offer.

Bought this after seeing it on Hot deals a few months ago. Great kettle, better than the morphy richards one it replaced! Hot...

he tried, but as it was a house warming gift from family he didn't have receipt and asda refused, I'm sure he'll just buy another when he gets fed up of balancing objects on his kettle :stuck_out_tongue:

mate of mine has this but it won't stay on to boil, the switch just pops back up after a few seconds, have to lean a weight on it just to get it to boil which obviously makes it unsafe to use, could just be a one off faulty one but thought it was worth a mention, would love to hear some other opinions of anyone that has one. good price tho
