Includes Family KickBack Pack
It’s 1968 and after years of combat in Vietnam, Lincoln Clay knows this truth: family isn’t who you’re born with, it’s who you die for. Now back home in New Bordeaux, Lincoln is set on escaping a criminal past. But when his surrogate family, the black mob, is betrayed and wiped out by the Italian Mafia, Lincoln builds a new family on the ashes of the old and blazes a path of military-grade revenge through those responsible. Intense gun fights, visceral hand-to-hand combat, white knuckle driving and street smarts will all be needed. But with the right crew, tough decisions and some dirty hands, it’s possible to make it to the top of the city's underworld.
NEW BORDEAUX, A REIMAGINED 1968 NEW ORLEANS:
A vast, diverse and seedy open world ruled by the mob and corrupt officials and richly detailed with the sights, sounds and emotionally-charged social atmosphere of the era.
AN UNINTENDED AND LETHAL ANTI-HERO:
Be Lincoln Clay, an orphan and Vietnam veteran hell bent on revenge against the Italian Mafia for the brutal slaughter of the black mob, the closest thing to family he’s ever had.
REVENGE YOUR WAY:
Choose your own personal play-style, from brute force and blazing guns to stalk-and-kill tactics as you use Lincoln’s military training and gathered intel to tear down the Italian Mafia.
A NEW FAMILY ON THE ASHES OF THE OLD:
Build a new criminal empire in your own unique way by deciding which of your lieutenants you reward, and which you betray…

Not a patch on Mafia 1 (a 14 year old game) Classic example of style over substance and game development going backwards.

Great price. Heated. I'd buy if I didn't have so many other games still to play. A couple £ more and I think I'd have to...

I enjoyed it for around 10 hrs. After that, it's repetitive, dull, city is lifeless. Nothing else to do.

Its not the worst thing I've played, like Benjammin316 says it gets repetitive, all the missions are based on either killing/interrogating people just in different locations, there is no mission variety. I also had it crash a few times (Xbox One) and it was a little buggy.

I really liked the look of it from the trailer (I know they always show the best bits) but I'm glad I missed out on the cheapish preorder deals
From what people have said I'll wait until it's around £15 on Xbone!

Well I didn't come off too badly paid £33.25 through Amazon with student discount and sold to game 2 weeks later for £33 cash so it was worth the 25p :stuck_out_tongue: but yeah, I'd wait if I were you, £20/£25 would be a good point

I have got it for 18.50 last week and cant stop playing it. its awesome. shooting and driving is great, setting is unique and soundtrack is stellar. totally worth it. word of advice set antiloasing to low and turn motion blur off. DLC which comes with game gives access to three cool cars and three weapons. nice.

I was lucky to be able to test this for free, I wasn't impressed, but I am comparing it to gta v, It looked dull, and colourless, both gta v and mafia were running on ultra settings, just my own opinion of it, great price though heat

Good price. Game isnt very good, doesn't feel like a Mafia game. I was disappointed with it. I'd rather play Mafia 2 or The Godfather.

Just FYI played through the campaign and enjoyed it very much. As with many things recently some loud critics overwhelm the balanced reviews. It's a good good game with a good story (and 0 replay value). Go ahead and buy if you like immersive single player games. If on the other hand you like Multiplayer, buy the latest Battlefield.

Its not a bad game. Yes it's missing some bits from M2, but the story is good. Clearly a bit of a rush job towards the end of the development though.
Agree on the repetition, but still managed to clock around 30-40hrs on it in total. I played it for a few hours an evening over a couple of weeks so it wasn't as bad.

How is state of decay compared to Dying Light?
Both are zombie survival games. I enjoyed Dying light until I quit and never went back again.

Only played dying light briefly but it felt to rigid for me. Dying light for me is Iike a knock off Far cry. State of decay is more like GTA with zombies.

Also enjoyed state of decay, I feel it got the balance right for keeping the game tense and fun with the features of permadeath and the real risk of being overwhelmed by Zombies when you are out and about - I would recommend it
