Very highly rated single player story driven 1st person game. Pretty short, but maybe cheap enough for the 4 or 5 hours it takes to play through...

You can apply the logic to a lot of things that give you less enjoyment than this game. How much would you spend on a meal out, for example? Or a book? The gaming industry is bloated with games trying to replicate the success of proper classic long games like the Final Fantasys and the Zeldas, but actually they are repetitive affairs designed just so they can say "40 hours of gameplay" etc. A good game should be judged on its own merits, not expected to be a certain length because others think they should be.

I don't, if not, hardly buy films and if I do they're around £5 per film. I'd be happy at £5 but this is still too expensive.

Excellent story telling.

You'd be better off getting the humble bundle and playing oxenfree, much better game IMO.

Decent game. Only about 4 hours long. Only 4 trophies and impossible to not get them. I enjoyed it.

The gameplay isn't exactly thrilling but I've enjoyed many other walking sims...
The awful story is what really breaks this game for me... It starts off bad, builds into something quite interesting and then falls on its face into a pile of dog eggs.
Even if you'd pirated this game, you'd feel robbed of the play time you'll never get back!

£9 for a few hours of gaming. WAKE UP PC GAMERS ITS A RIP OFF. YOUR ALL SETTLEING FOR AND BUYING HIGH PRICE GAMES.
before you know it we will be in line with console prices.

Funny how people won't pay £9 for a 4-5 hour game, yet they'll happily pay £10 to watch a 90 minute Adam Sandler film at the cinema.

and makes me realise how cheap FM20xx or XCOM are! I play them for hours and hours and hours! I have actually bought laptops to play them on the train to justify their cost. e.g. M11X £600 plus FM20xx gives you about the right hourly rate.
Thinking of getting that Tesco 950M GTX Acer Laptop advertised just to play xcom2 when I go marketing for £499. A LOT of money, but given my other laptops don't play XCOM 2 well / at all, then worth it!
So I agree with your thinking!

I'd pay £10 not to see it

Better example would be how people are willing to buy a game for £40 that's 15 hours long, making this still better value.
Saying that, i'm going to wait for this to drop further as it definitly will and i'm in no rush ^^

That's pretty much how I look at the budget games with a short run time, if I'm happy paying a tenner for a DVD or Blu-ray why is games like fire watch, the park and the bunker not worth the same amount of money.

I really want to buy the game but don't know whether to cave at £9... A good price but still a fair bit of money

It's well worth it. I really liked this game, although not thrilling it was excellent story telling, character development and brilliantly flowing gameplay.

Very good but very, sadly, short game - a good few hours or so, give or take. I was glued to my seat the whole time and was able to complete it in one sitting.
Although, £8.99 is a great price, it's still too expensive for a very short game. Beautiful it maybe, but if it was a longer game then I could justify the price.
Hot nonetheless.

I loved the game. How long does it take to watch a film? Less time than to complete this game, and it would likely cost you more.
