I got this, it's a nice little gimmick but not a replacement for a side light. Great as a novelty gift. The downside is you can't replace the bulb/LED (according to the instructions).

By the way this is powered by USB. It comes with a cable, but not the plug. I'm sure most people have got a spare phone plug though.

It won't illuminate an entire room. Its probably a bit too bright for a night light, but it depends how bright you like the room. It looks really good though, well worth the money.
