I paid £25 for Season 1 and £30 for Season 2 a few months after they came out (and that was used!). Thankfully I got Season 4-7 for below £10 each.
This is an amazing price.
If you have the DVDs, do not hesitate in upgrading. The difference is astounding. Particularly on Season 1 which always looked terrible on DVD (sub VHS at times).

Agreed, converting to 16:9 is usually just done by chopping the top and bottom off so you actually see less.
X-Files was converted to 16:9 because they had the foresight to frame it for both and they kept the sides clear, they couldn't do that here because crew and equipment would have been in the frame if you took 16:9 instead.

Why is it a shame? :confused: That's like saying it's a shame 2.35:1 films are not 16:9! It's in its original ratio. That's all you can ask for really.
