I heard they're rather brittle and snap easily. Only reason why I've not bought one.

Finally taking the plunge thanks to having £50 of Amazon vouchers sitting around whispering "uuuuseee. mmeeeee..." in my ear on a regular basis.
These + new UHD TV = day off with pizza, pants and playstation.

i think I read it's delayed until January.
I posted this deal on Amazon last week and it sunk without a trace. :disappointed:
Got some Christmas last year. Good sound but the build quality is awful. Cheap plastic and poor hinges. Hinge snapped last month and plastic around the top started to crack. Snapped completely in half last night. Heavy usage though.

I wanted these but comments put me off. The cracking seems inevitable and also the cups are quite small. The new ones look the **** though. Just hope they end up retailing less than £130.

Have had it since last Christmas and no issues. Wondering if people are just whispering what they hear from each other? Other users also mentioned they had no issues with headset. Your money, your call.

Worth every bloody penny! Drives me **** nuts that people buy MP games and have no headset for coms. This is more than affordable.
Cracking when I want to listen to spotify and the build quality is fab.. Like most things treat it with a little respect and it will last, maybe peoples hinges break due to gamer rage :confused:

Had mine since launch and use practically every day. No snapping issues what so ever, and the cups are huge they even cover my big ears! Only issue I've had is that the fake leather layer on one hasn't started to peel recently. That could be due to me using them with wettish hair or just the spikey beard lol

I purchased these a couple of weeks ago for this price. So far really liking them. I'm a relatively new PS4 owner who wanted something so I wasn't disturbing the house during "after hours" gaming sessions. They are really comfortable and the sound quality really is good for the price.
Can't believe they are still punting the 'Virtual Surround Sound'. I've got the 2.0 headset and the VSS is absolutely terrible, it basically involves ramping up the treble and removing the (already limited) bass.
These headphones are OK if you have to go wireless but if you can live with a cable from your controller you'll get much better headphones for the money.

Strange yours must be faulty or not set up correctly,use mine on gta5 with surround sound set to on in gta5 audio settings and its great can pin point people easily at the side or behind,handy when in flight you can hear the other aircraft even if its off screen.

These are much more robust than what you've heard. I've had no problems with mine and everything seems extremely sturdy still after 18 months. I can't comment though how other people treat them. Maybe their a little heavy handed.

Yes they are the same. Got mine for £30ish using the Sainsbury's offer. Gold is the label used stateside.
