Really good earphones priced down to £24.99! Never been under £60 in Black which only came out 02/11/2016.
The best sound quality you can get at under £25 in my opinion from a pair of earphones - Perfect for anyone looking for some high quality earphones for themselves or as a present!
Sony MDR-EX650AP Earphones with Brass housing and Smartphone Mic and Controls. Musical purity, less vibration. Made in brass for a clear stable sound with reduced resonance. Hear every note with more clarity and less unwanted vibration. Our MDR-EX650AP headphones use brass housings to minimise distortion and wide brass ducts for high sound stability. And with a new angled earbud design that fits securely in the ear, you’ll hardly notice you’re wearing them.
Use Code AUDIO10 to get these at £22.49. And dont forget TCB/ Quidco 1.5% I think from memory.

Sorry forgot to say use the code AUDIO10 at Currys.

I bought these and they were fantastic while they worked. The left side stopped working entirely, which is apparently a pretty common issue with this model.

I have Sony MDR-NC31EM and it bloody annoys me that I can't use it on other non-Sony devices. Tempted to pick something up as I'm sick of having the plug half way out to get it to work on other devices. I presume this won't have the same issue?

Does anyone know how these earphones compare to these...
Thanks OP, just lost my Piston 3's so will give these a try

Tried these out today and was initially unimpressed, sounded thin with little bass and nasty hissy treble. Experimented with the supplied tips and just couldn't get them to seal properly unless they were almost hanging out my ears with the largest tips in place.
Tried a set from an older Denon headset and BAM!, they came to life! Sound lovely now, but think they might need some time to lose a little harshness.
Seems I don't get on with the soft silicone tips that most headphones are supplied with these days. The Denon ones are firmer and made with thicker rubber/silicon stuff.
Was gonna return these earphones cos they're lacking bass for my liking. Gonna try some foam tips I've got in the cupboard now, thanks for posting

but is the sound quality difference going to be that discernable? from an average multi-media consumption point of view, or do you need to be really nit picking to hear difference in clarity

I would say so - Have a look at the What Hi-Fi review in the description to read more about them

Great earphones (I've had the brass ones) but very poor life. I've had two pairs that didn't last a year. This is extremely cheap and if it goes wrong you can always send it back. Massive heat from me!

Sony EX650 is way better than E10.
E10 sound is ok, but build quality is bad, not well built.

Thanks for that. Might get these at this price then. I did have to reduce the bass eq settings with the e10c so these are probably better for me.

I had some soundmagic e10c and was quite happy with them until they went missing. Anybody had both to compare? Are these better or worse?

I had the SoundMagic E10 and upgraded to the Sony MDR-EX650, and the Sony was definitely an upgrade. But do keep it mind that the EX650 sound more neutral with with tighter, punchier bass comparing to the E10 is sound warmer and more bass (that's sound not as controlled). It's a shame that I lost my EX650 and I have not idea where it went...but I have upgraded to a Sennheiser IE80, which itself is another big upgrade from the EX650.

Contact Sony for a free replacement. They're normally very good with replacing faulty products!
I personally used these for 6 months with constant use and had no issues.

Which is why with ear phones if you use them every day they fail with in a few months,so I never buy ear phones over £15.But in house have a £100 corded phones that have had for over 2 years.

I would have to test these out - when it comes to bigger cans I really like Sennheiser, I have a pair of HD280pro's that have done me well for 7+ years and would really like 650's at some point.
Going even further off topic HD800's are the best thing I've ever heard.

I have had a set of these and after 2 years of hard use the wires went - I paid £50-60 and they are worth it at that.
There is NOTHING on the market at this price that will beat them I got these in a huge store in Tokyo and tested buds between £20-300 and the only pair that were better were some special ones with a wooden back (yes on buds) that did wonders but they were £150.
