I have been looking into the 5 year warranty situation with the television your bought from us, unfortunately the model you have bought I have been advised does not come with the 5 year warranty it’s only a 12 month, it is the model above this that has the 5 year warranty on it,

They are refusing to honour the 5 year warranty. Trading standards here we go!!

My box is white and it had a hole but tv looks new but there was no email order receipt that I was looking for where did you find that was it sticked outside the box where it said document enclosed or was it inside the box with the manuel and instructions.

I tried putting my WD passport in the HDMI slot today, played a movie it was all there but subtitles come on the screen with white writing so can't read and watch the movies, usually it's on the black border so it's a lot clear with white writing and black on the outside.

So far what do you think about the tv picture and sound quality.

Which tv is better this one or Sony KDL50W829B and what's the difference between these both,

I have a few questions to the people who have received their TVs??

Did the box come damaged like ripped and hole in the back??

Did the little see through envelope with the paper works come with the tv. It says Document enclosed my one is ripped and nothing in there, also no receipt or papers to confirm the 12 months warranty from Martin Dawes.

I can't see where the black spot so that's fine other than that it looks like decent tv quality isn't great or bad.

Please tell me what colour box it came in white or brown? Just checked the same model on you tube showing brown box with unboxing videos my one is white box can anyone confirm please.

The little black sliding thing at the back of the tv was a little hard in the beginning now I opened it, it's gone soft I can take out and in quite easily, firstly what is that and what is it for and Is it for the wifi and if I open it will it work??

Please can someone find the time to answer these questions It will make my life easy..

Was definitely the correct size when it arrived. Black marks were on the bottom of the screen most visible when viewing a white picture.

I still haven't received my tv it's shows on the website as 40inch can someone please confirm if it's 48inch tv. Where was the black marks located as soon as my one comes I can look out for it thanks guys we should all stick together and keep this thread updated. What's happening with the 5 year warranty any news

Had to send my first set back as there was visible black marks on the bottom of the screen. Fair play to them they came and changed it 2 days later.

Might not be so happy when you try and find out about the 5 year warranty advertised at the time of sale. It was an error and has since been removed from the product page on their website. I'm currently awaiting a call back from the manager, they took it off their website whilst I was on the phone lol. Good job I screen shot it before calling lol.

Awaiting an email back from the manager. They might be great in correcting this, in which case fair play to them. Just don't like how they changed their website whilst I was on the phone!
