Dot will eventually work when SONOS finish the software update scheduled for "end 2016 or early 2017".
This combincation of Dot+SONOS would be preferable to Echo IMHO

I have a lot of Sonos products so yes, I hope they last! But 6 years warranty on a tech product is insanely good and cannot be ignored.
