As advertised on TV, Skylanders Imaginators is on a fairly decent discount at Argos. £35.99 on current gen consoles, £31.99 on last gen. Sadly doesn't include the crash edition on PS4, but does come with a free 'Skylanders Battlecast Battle Pack' which I guess is better than nothing.
Because Kaos is a vital character, with a great gameplay and is already hard to get. Kids love to be able to play as the main supervillain.

Have played every version since spyro's adventure but both myself and my son have got a big bored of the series now and the 'buy a crystal for the privilege of making your own character' seems a gimmicky. Anyone know what it actually plays like? is it worth the money?

I've not played any of them but from what I've read it's a genuinely good game. Seems similar to the others but with RPG elements onto the platformer brawler gameplay with a constant flow of loot to change your character.

I'm so glad my kids have now outgrown Skylanders. Shudder to think how much cash has been spent on those games...

Don't buy starter pack without Kaos, you will regret it a lot.
Does anyone know, are the battlecast cards like a skylanders version of pokemon cards??

Kind of. The cards can be bought physical or digital, but the game is purely digital (so physical cards will unlock digital versions). Fun game, but it seems to have gone under the radar and physical packs are sold super cheap often now.
I did let them know about it. But damn that they haven't lowered the price of the Kaos + Mystery Chest edition :disappointed: If they did that I'd definitely bite.

Great price, but if you can hold off, they'll drop even more quite quickly.

It starts...
Might pick it up in Feb for £15.
Not voting though, even if it is already going south (most likely due to poor sales).
