I was just looking at the cost of SSDs for the PS4, and the 1TB were £200 ish, so thought I'd rather wait, but for £64, it's worth a punt.

You should probably just grab a 2TB normal hard drive instead, it works pretty well for me, unless of course you're willing to spend on SSD or if this arrives :smirk:

Yeah and not the thousands who get the heads up and all rush the miss priced item, that ends up giving a high traffic notice to the server and the miss price is then fixed.
arealmentalist
6 Nov 16#61
often they honor misprices if a sustainable number is ordered, i.e 100 people ordering 1 each in a perfect scenario. But when a few people decide to order 20 each then obviously they cancel all orders.

Shocked at all the negativity, next misprice I'll only order half a dozen or so and not the usual twelve. Funny though, I would imagine pretty much everyone on here has wet their beak more than once on a good deal and not said a word but then comment and moan when they've missed out channeling all their anger on someone honest enough to admit they ordered more than one.
Jeez I was only joking anyway, having yet to fill 128Gb a 1Tb ssd would be as useful to me as a glass eye in the fog.

Surprise surprise the cancellation e-mail hits you between the eyes.....
In all my years using this site Amazon have cancelled every single miss-priced order barring one, a £3.89 Ring compressor. Everything valuable, no chance. I know you have nothing to lose ordering but in reality with something like this you don't have a chance.

6 Nov 16#79
Less is always enough, lots never, so I agree with you. On the other hand still they could separate greedy ones and honour the single items placed I believe, as difference of the purpose is then obvious. That would be more right ethically in business way IMO, since they exist to treat customers in right way. Greedy self explodes himself and then kills many innocent ones too around including himself unfortunately.

My order was cancelled too. Like you I never seem to get lucky on these misprices. Think HUKD is so mature that it has built up a huge user base and so any misprice like this will get instantly swamped with orders, high or low quantity doesn't matter, they will be alerted to high numbers of orders in any event, and Amazon (or whoever) just cancel all orders.
Sometimes in terms of deal sites being popular isn't such a great thing as it kills a lot of the misprice deals instantly and if the website traffic on HUKD isn't enough the stupid whatsapp alert is sure to do it, totally takes the fun out of finding great deals on HUKD yourself cos everyone will just get alerted anyway.
All that aside I am grateful to the many great deals I have gotten thanks to HUKD and money saved, but the vast majority have just been very good special offers rather than actual misprices getting honoured.....

6 Nov 161#81
I've been lucky numerous times on here, just never with Amazon. My best miss price purchase so far was the £120 Full HD LG 50inch Plasma TV from a couple of years ago.
I would imagine Amazon have their own systems in place to detect pricing errors regardless of order volumes or traffic spikes and I cant imagine them letting even a couple slip through the net.
paragraph
6 Nov 16#82
Missprice is not a deal since a deal is an agreement between buyer and seller when a misprice is based on seller's mistake. In this kind of occasions take it righ or wrong I personally prefer to stay selfish by placing a single order only for myself and most of times this works. Every company can honour an exception, no? When I am convinced to believe something is a "deal", then I share it. So, "deal" is to share, "missprice" is to keep

No one here is ordering 20, 30 or 500 like I said, it's clearly said as a joke, an ongoing joke at HUKD.
Do you really think that us tight money savers are really going to spend £2000 or more to buy 20, let alone 500 of the things? I suspect some people might order 2 or 3 but seriously doubt there's much more than that.
Anyway, we all know there's a 99.9% chance of cancellations
