Been checking the last few days, think this may be the cheapest I've seen this go for.
Same price in John Lewis but currently out of stock.

Yeah thats the cheapest its been. Was £1400 last week when my friend was looking to buy one.
I've still yet to see the screen in its glory

Picked one up yesterday. Cracking set, played a few HDR games on the ps4 pro and it looks stunning.

Have you noticed any colour banding? I'm looking at getting the 65" version but there's a few people saying the colours aren't that gradual on some sources
Little off top but im looking at getting the UE55KS7000
i currently have the Samsung UE55HU8500, but after getting the ps4 pro i wanted to know if there was a noticable difference or should i save my money?

Haven't noticed it but I've only had use of around 5 hours so far but so far I'm very impressed and that's just after coming from 65 inch Sony set previously

Me and My friend bought TV on 26th Nov , so its hardly 2 days and my friend without knowing Click and Collect does not give £75 bought it thinking he would get it like me (did it for delivery) , now he spoke to Quidco and Currys this morning and currys saying if its not OPEN can return in 21 days , if its Open and NOT used then 14 days, my friend wanted to return and order it for delivery but now seems he cannot return ad he hve used for for nearly 5 hours or so in this 1.5 days ? Anyone can advice on this if he can return and order online ? Or is it not worth for £75 ? Please help

Think they charge a handling fee, 25% of the purchase price as I recall, if you are not happy within 28 days.

Same price at currys/pcworld. Tempted to get this but I only sit like 2 and a half meters away and afraid it might be too big?. Might just get the 55inch version

The world has changed my friend. At 2.5m away you need a minimum 75" tv at 4K. So 2.5m is fine for 1080p, but to get the benefit of 4K you need to sit much closer if you 'only' get a 55", infact a metre closer.
This reviews a little out of date as you can now use the TV in game mode with HDR with the latest Tv update.

The transcript notes that firmware update in the 3rd para, don't know whether the video has been edited to reflect it.

I just can't imagine that but yea ur right, every website and forum does say that  I'm just worried about sitting that close to a tv as it was always seen as a bad thing to do in the past.

The thoery assumes you have 20/20 vision, which just means you can see from 20ft what the average person can see from 20ft. So, if you have better than average eyesight, don't take too much notice of these tables and charts*.

Your eyesight and hearing abilities are inversely proportional to the money you spend on this kinda kit as you age.

I just got the 55inch last friday from Hughes. Went in-store and they had it for £899, but if you trade in any old 32inch+ flat screen tv (lcd screen, lead and remote), they will take off another £100 as a trade in. As long as it turns on. So I paid £799 in the end.
Anyone thinking of getting this TV, I say go for it. Fantastic TV. You also get an extra smart remote, and love how to the separate connector works. Most tv's you have to struggle to connect any extra hdmi cable, but this has an adapter which is kept on the floor etc, and all hdmi cables plug in from there. Great idea and design

I disagree as I think that box is a pain in the bum with wall mounting or pointless if you have a home cinema when you run everything through an amp . Hasn't stopped me buying one though

You can buy from JL as they have much better return policy
Would also like to add about the sound quality. This is the first flat screen tv, where the sound, sounds half decent. Most people use a sound bar but with this set, you dont have to have one, unless you want the cinema experience.

do it quick otherwise you'll have to return to store yourself or pay for collection. thery are great though at rs. I bought this plus soundbar with two r1 speakers for 5.1 surround but might have to return the r1s as apparently samsung multiroom doesn't work right to make it 5.1 so will have to buy an amp and speakers I guess

£1,098.99 at PRC Direct using code SAMBF100 (expires 30th November).
Looks like code is for more expensive Samsung model but does actuallly work when applied at checkout
