​Gosh these new TVs are the most confusing ever. You have 8 bit panels, 10 bit panels, 4k, 4k rgbw (3k) ultra HD premium, hdr ready, hdr 10, dolby vision, local dimming, edge lit screens, oled screens, ips screens, va screens, flat screens, curved screens. I mean how are we meant to make sense of it all without an insane amount of research.

Best av deals are offering this for 934 using code save15 including a 5 year guarantee.

Maybe richer sounds will match.

While the back coming lose is bad i'm pretty sure it won't result in TV's falling off the wall. As far as I can tell the plastic backing is just cosmetic and the vesa mounts bolt into the metal frame underneath that holds the TV together.

Finally buckled and bought this with sound bar at richer sounds. £1189, 6 year guarantee worth every penny.

I have a g20 as well...top tv only getting a bit old school now.

You get the feet but theres loads of posts about the feet not clicking in to the TV and when lifting the TV the legs fall off as they are supposed to clip in. The back coming loose is a real concern for anyone wall mounting as mine was like that after just over a week that TV could fall off the wall if the back gives way and someone could be badly hurt best case you could be a £1000 out of pocket.

Maybe a silly question but the feet do come if wall mounting?

Yes i returned mine through awful picture and terrible viewing angles and when i was packing it up i noticed the back was coming away on both side that was after just 8 days when i returned it to RS i was talking to their sales guy and he was aware of this and it affects all KS sets including the 9000 This TV is rubbish and poor quality do yourselves a favour and buy something else.

I had the same issue with bad pixelation in dark areas for a tv that supposed to be SUHD i found it really bad and no matter what settings i changed it didn't help and unless you are directly infront of the TV picture was washed out. I ended up getting a OLED and haven't looked back when I went to RS to choose a replacement and they had the B6 OLED next to the Samsung KS9000 and on the other side was a top end Sony and neither TV was in the same league as the OLED colorwise and with viewing angles. I also took a USB of media including some 4k HDR and some SD content and the SD was unwatchable on the Sony and Samsung but the OLED was brilliant, i know its over double the price but what im saying is go to a store and check the KS7000 before wasting £1000.

Just spoke to o Richersounds who will price beat this to £959! Have to do it over the phone.

Now do I or dont I!

The legs of this need 107cm to stand on a desk. I measured. The more space you have either side, the safer it is but 106.2cm is minimum.

Hoping someone does a good deal on the SAMSUNG UE65KS9000 Smart 4k Ultra HD HDR 65inch TV

I had the same issue with the stand, so bought the one listed in post #41. I just needed 45mm bolts from Screwfix to attach the TV onto the bracket as the ones supplied with the stand weren't long enough.

I'll have a go then

1) OLED displays blacker then black as the TVs use individual pixels which means when there is a black background no pixels are lit so it looks like the Tv is turned off offering the deepest blacks. LG is currently the king of OLED

2) LED uses backlit lights so they offer the highest brightness levels but due to this high level of brightness blacks can sometimes look grey or cloudy. Samsung has what's know as Quantum dot technology geared around making their TVs even more brighter.

It's almost a Light side vs Dark side thing.

It's relatively easy; Plasma and OLED are superior but ;
1) No one makes Plasma's any more as the general public did'nt reallly understand why they were better than LCD / LED etc so they would'nt pay the price premium.
2) OLED only made by one manufacturer so the others have to think of whizzy features they can use to compete

I just searched Amazon for "vesa pedestal stand" I'd imagine with the 4k and HDR it would be a lot better than the g20 but I'm no expert.

Is this a good replacement for a Panasonic G20? I'm in the same boat as you and what stand you found pleas?

This is the model I'm after to replace my aging Panasonic plasma g20 but it won't fit on my 1 Meter wide TV unit :disappointed: also wondering as I have a sound base that's 7cm high would that fit under?

Dam shame I can't move the feet as I'm not going to buy new furniture for it :disappointed:

Only LG offers this and lets face it if the other manufacturers don't come on board the TV networks and Movie studios aren't going to shoot or display content in DV just for them.

Tempted but would rather get have a set that supports the superior Dolby Vision standard for HDR; wish it was supported more but looking like it might lose out to the cheaper (inferior) tech, which is typical

It looks like it isn't working.

Had this tv about two weeks. Stunning picture HD/4k HDR all fantastic. Only slight drawback for me is watching football the odd motion judder and also a strange thing with out of focus seemingly dark brown in certain scenes seem to see the pixelation quite clear, not a deal breaker by any means but wish i knew why that was happening. Planet earth has been incredible on it.

Back panel on mine can pick away at the glue residue they use they cleary aren't too hot on build quality but again for me it's not an issue as the warranty covers down the line should problem arise and i don't sit looking at the back panel.

I'd buy the 65" for downstairs should a decent price come up.

Just a quick question, does anyone know the exact lag input of this TV? I think I read it was 22ms, also are all the 4 HDMI inputs HDR10 compatible?

Just ordered from Curry's £934 plus another £50 off with gift card we got on a phone deal. Downside is it looks like they are out of stock so saying 2-4 weeks delivery, hopefully won't be that long. Went through Quidco for 1.6% cashback as well.

Guess can always cancel if better deal comes along in the meantime.

If you are referring to the 55" - just measured mine and you will need at least a 112cm so you are fine.

Assuming you have one from that comment - apologies if you don't - could you be a massive help and measure gap between the feet?

Needing to fit onto a 120cm wide TV unit and nobody seems to mention this dimension on any of their models.

Aside from SONY and a few LG models nothing seems to come on a central stand/base these days.

KS7000 does work to get it to £934. The code for a half price 4K bluray player has stopped working though. I've msg'd them to find out why.
Richer sounds just matched this for me, £934 plus £145 for the 4K BluRay with a bunch of films.

Maybe the headline should be updated to show £934 rather than £979 ?

Anyone know how well this deals with SD channels? Someone posted on another thread the KS8000 doesn't deal with them well at all. I'm after a top spec 49 inch 4K tv

It says this is an ultra uhd premium set. Does that mean it supports dolby vision also?

trying to find an answer for this .... anyone had or heard of issues with back plastic panel coming off ? wondering if it is safe to wall hang it ? or wall bracket screws gets attached to TV via the back panel ? Please advice ?

I think it's only the 65" model which has two different foot locations, my 55" doesn't so I bought a universal VESA pedestal stand from amazon for £40.

Can you move the feet stand closer in?

You cannot adjust the feet although i'm not sure why they didn't move the feet further in another couple of inches, it still would be stable enough because of the angle of the feet and the back panel on mine doesn't seem to be coming away although it is only 4 days old.
