5 Years Guarantee. Good to have

Bright, colourful and beautiful, Samsung’s KU6000 is a marvel of home entertainment. This 4K set’s HDR blends with the brand’s PurColour technology to add immense gloss to your content. Top that with the cutting-edge SmartThings home control and you have the complete package.
PurColour HDR
Forays into colour-boosting High Dynamic Range (HDR) have begun, and Samsung are one of the forerunners. As members of the newly-founded UHD Alliance, they've engineered HDR lifted by their PurColour technology. This tech adjusts 192 points of red, green, blue, cyan, magenta and yellow to deliver extraordinary realism. Shades are sharper, images are deeper and the colours all-the-more eye-popping.
Awesome 4K Upscaling

The KU6000's Ultra HD screen offers a dramatically enhanced viewing experience. With four times the pixels of Full HD, you’ll be able to see every single detail in 4K – no matter what resolution the content is. This is with thanks to Samsung’s innovative upscaling technology which converts lower resolution content, such as live TV, to a level of detail which is near UHD quality.

Stunning Ultra Clean View Panel
This panel’s Ultra Clean View analysis that input signal and cleanses any noise, so that what you see is super sharp. This way, your content will look even more beautiful than on conventional UHD panels.

Samsung Smart Hub
Now faster with further ultra-high definition streaming, catch-up and games services, is the new Smart Hub platform. This is quick and easy platform marks a massive step forward for the connected home. Access the latest apps to experience the best UHD content from Netflix and Amazon, with more providers coming soon*. You can even browse content easily, searching for your favourite programmes and movies while you are still watching TV. Powering the seamless interaction is the powerful Quad Core processor which significantly boosts performance with faster access to Smart features. Enjoy super-fast response times, as you use and toggle between apps, online services and live TV with ease.

Control Your Connected Home
Developed alongside SmartThings, Samsung’s SUHD TV has built-in tech to let you do anything from switching on your lights to locking your doors. It can connect to over 200 SmartThings compatible devices and put your home under complete wireless control – all from your TV**. This way, you’ll be able to set the right scene in your living room without getting off the sofa.

lots of 4k tv's on hukd, but we all know picture quality trumps resolution, so are there any Full HD TV's at around the same size and £400 that will look a lot better than this when viewing Full HD content? Also I don't need all the extras like freeview and PSNow, would rather the cost go towards the best quality panel.

sadly the big brands no longer put their best tech in FHD tvs, it's all pushed towards their 4k sets. hopefully more and more channels will provide 4k content with all the sales of these screens this Christmas.

This is is problem. How long has it taken for full HD to be available free to air? Extactly it hasn't. So we all rushed to get full HD when most people only saw the benefit on a Blu-ray Disc. Now we have plethora of 4K TVs with poor quality and not even the most expensive can't upscale standard def better than full HD and the only time we can see it is if we play 4K games or look at a demo on YouTube let alone have a decent enough broadband to stream anything that may come along. I've decided the same I too want a good full HD 55" tv - I sit 10 feet from the tv so I should get a 65" 4K to see the difference which I don't want, so please if anyone can recommend I to would be grateful.

Can anyone vouch for the claimed upscaling in picture quality , even from standard definition with this TV? Could this be the end if being ripped off by £10 or so a monthly sky for HD quality channels? If so this TV pays for itself in 4 years ish!

Very true. Its soul destroying knowing how many of the "Big Names" are getting their TVs done in China (Yes, I am aware a lot of the tech would be made in China - but under Japanese/Korean/German/whatever direction) or Turkey and NOT the name you're actually buying. Panasonic had their name wiped out for a possible buy with their Vestels carrying Panasonic brand. Of course they won't be the only one
Dangerboy101
26 Nov 16 #66
Went to try and see the TV in JL but looked at the 6020. I was told that the 6020 and this 6000 is very similar in spec. The 6020 HD capabilities looked amazing, even if it's not premium HDR as the say, still looked nice. Ordering the 6000 soon, not sure Bluetooth would swing it for me

26 Nov 16 #69
Only difference between this and the 6020 is the the 6020 has a cable tuner and Bluetooth. Using a small Bluetooth keyboard with mine.
Picture quality on the 6020 is very good. I have a 7 year old 6 series Samsung and it is miles better. Even full HD is an improvement. Obviously a 10bit panel will be a lot better but it will cost you double.
I got the 6020 for £425. The sales guy knocked £30 off at currys for taking out knowhow and paying the first month by card (I take it out for the first month in case I break it setting it up). Direct debit already cancelled. Extra 2 year warranty from my bank but since my old Samsung as stated is 7 years old I have no doubt this will last

26 Nov 16 1 #70
I picked this up from Currys (6020) for £414 a few days ago. Pleased with it so far. It turns on instantly which is a nice change from the last tv I had. Also the menus are very fast and responsive, no lag or delay.

Picture quality seems great but I don't have much to compare it to.

Honestly though the biggest improvement has to be there interface, I haven't used a tv with such a responsive UI before this.

Gets a thumbs up from me for what it's worth.

If I bought this TV, and the HW-K360 soundbar, would the soundbar be controlled by the TV remote ? I can't be arsed with loads of remotes lying around so would want the soundbar to come on/go off with the tv, and for the soundbar volume to be operated by the TV remote, but I'm not sure if this is how this particular pairing would work. Do I maybe need to get a TV with bluetooth to achieve what I want ?
dankilling
26 Nov 16 1 #72
wow!
nomnomnomnom
26 Nov 16 #73
If connected over Bluetooth, then almost every TV will control the audio volume for the soundbar through its normal remote.
I've only ever not seen this on some horrendous Bush branded soundbar.
If the soundbar uses HDMI, then it will need ARC support, but that is common on new devices.
You can find some info on it here, it generally applies to most TVs: https://www.cnet.com/forums/discussions/using-samsung-tv-remote-with-hw-f550-soundbar-609148/

The soundbars also generally go into a 'low power' mode so you don't need to keep turning them on and off, but this is device specific.

well ARC is used to Return the Audio on that Channel, but the control aspect requires both TV and soundbar to support HDMI CEC (sony call it bravia sync, panasonic call it viera link and so on)

I have the 65" version of this Samsung TV and it is superb, ordered the 50" version for my father in law on the 9th and it was delivered last week for £549. Got the 43 inch version of this recently from Currys it's a good tv my old LG smart tv got a remote thrown at it by my little un so a worthy upgrade
Ignore the 8bit comments the HDR 4K picture is good for the cash your paying for it
Obviously if you pay twice the price for a 10bit tv it will be better but for under 500 you would be hard pressed to find a better tv
rjabse

I've never had to use a tv guarantee. I voted hot for this initially but after doing some research it appears this is Samsung lower end line, and for under 500 you can get more premium brands like panasonic now.
