Great TV - I have the curved version and it's stunning. It can suffer from judder occasionally but that's just a case of switching to a picture mode with a certain setting turned off (motion control I think?).
Worth checking if your employer can give you 7-8% off Currys vouchers too.

Just checked my employee discount site and you're right, I get an extra 7% off gift cards so can get this for £716. Thanks!!

damn it. I can get 7% off too but only on gift vouchers for "instore" purchases and the CE30 can't be used if i reserve it online :disappointed:

some people have been complaining about how far apart legs of stand are. it seems they must be around 90-95 cm apart looking at pictures.
so check your TV cabinet size.

Unfortunately what the review sites don't tell you is the reliability/quality controls issues with this tv, backs coming off e.c.t. Best to look at the owner threads on avforums then make a choice imho

Not sure whether to go for this or not, I have a 50JU6800 from last year which is a good TV but only 8(+2)bit and 60hz panel.

I plan to buy this TV in Jan 2017. I wonder what the price will be at that time. Hopefully around £600

John Lewis does not price match if a code is not displayed on the website. They regard it as "extra research". Richer Sounds does, according to a user above. Seems like RS wins over JL in the customer service department.

That's the point I'm making quality control is hit and miss -some have changed 4 units before getting a reasonable one. Look on the threads Bit of a lottery

And that is what the 5 year guarantee is for. You could buy anything and something go wrong with it.

have actually measured it? I am asking because have same issue. my TV table is also 90cm wide

30 Nov 16#29
That's true but not much fun humping a 49-55" or bigger tv around repacking, unplugging. The price of these is just not good enough. How long has your previous tv been going, has the back started coming off? Probably not. I went into Curry's- I was looking at this tv once to buy from the reviews (avforums) and both the ks7000 and the 8000 had the backs coming away. But if you think that it's worth the risk then best of luck.

I've had my 55" version a few weeks and the back seems pretty solid to me so far. Been checking it randomly and doesn't even feel loose at all. Awesome picture on this TV and I don't find that there's any motion issues personally but maybe I not sensitive to it.

Would also like to know the exact measurement between the outside of the feet if anyone knows  waiting for this to drop a bit more then I'll bite. If it stutters/comes to bits I'll just return it... worth a try as the specs are very good

Got the 55" last week. Superb picture. You can't go wrong with this TV. Back in May this TV was over £1,500. I paid £799 for the 55".

My previous TV which weighed about the same as an Indian Elephant went to the tip in 2007. Didnt bother buying another TV after that. Didn't actually miss it at all but seeing as i can watch Youtube on this one i decided to get one and free up a monitor. Plus my kids can play Xbox on it whenever they want to.

Went into Hughes in Norwich. They had the 49" for £799 and the 55" for £899.
But they were offering a £100 trade in, on an old flat screen tv. As long as it turned on, had remote and the stand. Condition doesn't matter. So I took an old 32inch in, and got £100 off. Great deal because I would of been lucky to get £20 if I sold it privately.

Ordered from Richersounds at £819 a week ago, awaiting delivery on Saturday, already recieved a £20 refund at £799, going to see if they will offer a refund for the difference at £769 or if they will price beat to £ 759. That'd be a nice saving.

Currys originally said the £30 discount was online only. I said I would leave it and arrange for free delivery on Saturday. They then honoured the discount. Great TV but currently not playing nicely with Sky Q. Not sure I like the breakout box especially as you still need to plug power and ethernet directly into the back of the telly.

No issues with Sky Q here.
TV has to be changed to 10 bit in the settings for the HDMi ports.

Is this tv much better for HDR gaming than the KU6400?
May return mine to john lewis and exchange it for one of these..

Not the 10bit, got that sorted. The Sammy recognises the devices connected to it. ID'd the Xbox One but no go with Q so there's no control from the Sammy smart remote. A minor inconvenience, first world problems and all that.

I was soo bleeding lucky, I took screenshots of the price with the code at £769 and sent them off to Richersounds as I'd already ordered from them last week, just minutes later the price leaped upto £999 on curry's. This morning had an email from Richersounds saying they've price beat to £759 and will refund the difference.
Top company, very happy

Finally I gave in and ordered Sony x8305 2916 model with HDR I believe this Sony is 10 bit like xd80 and in 43 inches it has the va panel
Ks7000 has a good screnn but it has manufacturing faults due to poor quality control I guess
