Received an email with the 49 inch KS7000 priced at 879 then when I clicked through it was 799. Seems a good price with the 6 year guarantee.

This was my tv of choice until I realised the stand is too wide to fit on my 100cm tv stand, at this price an absolute bargain...

Richer sounds is always 6 year guarantee. Makes you think why has this tv dropped in price but ks8000 never dropped . Well £100 off. I bought ks8000

The 55" was just under 950 at the start off the week and John Lewis were price matching. Still a great price if you can get it.

Richer sounds offer cashback too via Topcashback or Quidco too. Extra savings and a year extra warranty compared to JL

Read few reviews on john lewis website - people complaining about serious fault in the motion processing. Some are not happy at all, even software upgrade has not addressed the problem.

Yeah that's correct I am
On my 4th tv and it will be delivered tomorrow I am hoping that this one is better as the previous ones had dead pixels, worse banding and light bleed etc
Otherwise I will have to choose something else
Honestly I didn't get any motion issues so far

I tried using Amazon fire stick after installing Kodi on it but it wasn't watchable because of sd channels looked really unacceptable
So standard definition is gonna look unpleasant to put it mildly

So then how would these new 4K tv's work mate? I watch most of SD channels on sky Q, have not subscribed to HD. Any recommendations for me who want to replace 9 year old 40 inch full Hd LCD..

Just turn all extras off like motion blur every thing and these tv will give as good sd picture as any other. No tv's give sd a good picture because sd is crap to start with.

Got this in store on Friday for 879. They actually dropped the price to 799 on Saturday, so I rang the store and got an £80 refund straight away, so can't fault the initial customer service at Richer Sounds. Absolutely lovely TV, I followed the set up guide for image quality from AV Forums. My main vices are Football and PS4, so I can confirm everything works nicely in terms of low input lag and a very good refresh rate. Battlefield 1 looks amazing on my PS4 Pro in 4K (checkerboard or not!).

Is that the way to watch SD channels on these 4K tv's?

Can anyone confirm if this tv can passthrough 5.1 down the ARC to non-4K receivers from HDMI external sources like PS4 and SkyQ ?

28 Nov 161#39
If it falls apart you have 6 years warranty, if there's banding get another one, if there's dead pixels get another one, motion blur get a new one, all faulty. Lee getting one until you get a good one lol. I got a ks8000 if had 4 dead pixels in a row it looked like dirt on the screen constantly, few scattered red pixels, currys swapped it now have another one that's perfect. A lot of reviews are just dud tv's . Just change it until you get a good one. 5th Samsung in a row all class. Won't buy any other make now

Just activate game made and all motion is fine on sd and yes you can't get a good sd picture because it's crap to begin with

Many thanks for help,
It is not like we do not want to watch HD channels but there is no availability of HD channels for that content, so we have to stick with SD channels. I did ask for some help on avforums but everybody suggesting if I am more into SD channels do not buy 4k TV, go for 1080p LED or Plasma. Nobody suggested what you have suggested like turn off the extras like motion blur, etc. I was shocked to read one post where one guy spent 2k on OLED just for watching 4k movies and netflix, if he has to watch SD content he will watch on few years old plasma or LCD. I can not do that, it will be only one main TV.
As long as the SD content is watchable and not bad than what I am getting on LCD it is acceptable for me, obviously, I am not expecting HD quality for SD content on 4K TV's.
Would you recommend Samsung 49KS7000 for me who watches 75% of SD content and 25% of HD content? Much appreciated. Please guide.

Ks7000 is a class tv it will give best sd hd and 4K for price. It will be better than what you have just don't expect 4K looking sd channels. Hd is class on these tv's.
Have a look at getting sky q change it to 2160p and it's gives a very good picture especially in hd

gor the 60 inch version of this and am getting awful motion blur whilst watching sky sports hd. it's shocking. Going to have to mess around with the settings. tried the av forums ones and it's still happening with everything switched off. crazy. I know it's going to bug me if I can't sort it soon had none of these problems with my old plasma.

I got one of these and I cannot manage to tune any TV channels either with my pre existing satellite connection on coaxial cable or with a new aerial. When I try going to self diagnosis -> signal information it says "this function isn't available". Why the hell?? Anyone knows how to proceed?

After seeing the 2017 unveiling, I'm definitely going to snap up this or the k8000 when they drop just a littttle bit more!
