Great price and quality if you're looking at getting a 4K with HDR for the first time, don't think It will go much lower than this.

How is this for normal TV? Does it upscale to 4k? How much difference is there between this and a 10 bit.

Same boat...before had to contend with being HDR now been reading posts and threads regarding being 8bit or 10bit. Bought One s...would love a perfect recommendation around 40-43" mark....was looking at ue43ks7500 but that still siting at £900

great deal, but not enough hdr content available yet for me to ditch the trusty 42 inch plasma. in truth I have not seen many that match it for clarity of motion
That said, heat from me

Don't buy this TV because it says it does HDR, it doesn't do it properly, only has an 8 bit panel. HDR is the new scam feature, I haven't seen any TVs at this price point do HDR properly.

Is this a sit-up-and-beg 50hz set? Refresh rate is more important to me at this end of the budget spectrum than worrying about 10bit.
Reebok Ron, it will sit in its box until just before Christmas......its a surprise. Sorry.

I don't suppose you could connect it to your computer and see how good it is at 4k 60Hz please (assuming you have a computer that produces 4k 60hz)? I'd like to use it as a monitor.

Does it have 4:4:4 chroma sampling?
Will it display 4k at 60Hz or higher?
Thanks for any help.

Contacted John Lewis this morning RE price match and they just confirmed they would match the price. In the meantime bought it from Richer Sounds with a 6 year warranty. Super picture.

I think the one in this post is a good bet really. You won't get what's known at HDR10, for anything near this price. Like I said, the picture quality on the Samsung is really good in my opinion, and I don't notice any input lag on the one I have in the lounge.

22 Nov 161#11
Need to look up ones that have low Ms input lag, the lower the better fir gaming

Not really a HDR compliant set (from a gaming perspective). Excellent picture quality in my opinion though. I have the larger version in the lounge, and am tempted to get this for a bedroom. mmm, if only it were under £300...

Is that due to it being an 8bit panel rather than 10bit?

Any recommendations for a 40"-ish tele suitable to use with a One S?
Its 4k which is about as far as I get before getting bogged down in all the jargon :smirk:
Obviously I liked the price of this one, it's going in the big lads bedroom to use with his one S, hence the interest

Getting lower! Still think £350 at Richer Sounds with 6 years guarantee is the better offer. John Lewis may price match Currys for 5 year guarantee. Depends if you want to save £20 or have peace of mind. Heat added.
