Does this one have any basic speakers, or an 'audio in' or 'audio out'?

does anyone know if i could use this screen for plugging in my virgin media box?
I got a second box installed in my room as part of my package and my current LG IPS screen doesnt seem to accept a signal from the box to the monitor via HDMI.
i use the screen really just for console gaming currently so the monitor works great but would like to also connect the vm box

No, what you want is a monitor that comes with something called HDCP. It comes on all TVs and a few monitors but not many. Any time you're looking to buy a monitor for TV you wanna look for the following:
1) Does it have internal speakers or audio output (headphone jack)
2) Does it have HDCP
Usually googling the key words (Model number, audio out and HDCP) will tell you straight away if the product you're looking at first your spec.
TN panel are fast response but awkward viewing angles

Completely depends what games he is playing. If he is on console then 60 FPS is fine. He only really needs more if he is playing frame-sensitive PC games.

If he mentioned it then he will probably want 100-120, this is 60.

my son is hinting for a decent monitor for £100-£125 for Xmas.
He mentioned refresh rate but I haven't a clue what to get.
Got this one a few weeks ago for the same price - Look very similar - Its CANNY!

I have a similar model. Samsung s24.... something, I bought from ebuyers, and is the singly one item I regret I ever bought.. Complete trash. I'm not an expert, but colors are inaccurate. I couldn't get light gray color to show on it what ever setting I use. This is very annoying because many ui elements have light grey shadows and borders. font something is a hit and miss and it just gets you mad everyone you look at it. not worth £5
