just got my silver s7 edge with free Logitech car kit from cpw. Called them to see if I swap the gift out.....The chap there said he could set a NEW contract and I could take the phone I have back to a store and pick up a new phone and vr headset........looks like a sales bod is trying to get in early and bump up their sales :wink:.....Might pop into a store after work.....

'Won' one for Charity with the VR Headset and plenty annoy me about one but plenty about impresses me equally. Probably the most complete handset in the market currently than tick the most boxes for what you could want from a phone.

Just wish it had a Vanilla Android option.

I used to think it was the best phone (the S7 Edge) until the screen failed and on Googling the issue, it's fairly common after a couple of months. Samsung wants to have my phone back for a week or two for repair, no apology or replacement device...

Really want this, but unsure if they'll have any black friday deals on the s7 and edge models!!?

I purchased my Samsung Galaxy S7 less than 2 weeks ago from CPW. I emailed them today. Stating I was annoyed that this offer is available now and not when the price was originally reduced.
They emailed back saying go to the store and give the device back. Repurchase the item and get a VR Headset if available. Don't think I'll risk it in case the people say they haven't got one.

Mine bounces really well and hasn't scratch even from sliding across tarmac on its face.

How much do you think this phone will drop on Black Friday deals? £50 off?

Edit: Going to buy it. It's web exclusive deal only apparently and it will take up to 14 days to get the VR gear.
Didn't want to hold on to Black Friday as the phone probably will drop in price but might not get free VR gear..

Phone arrived today but no Gear VR. Customer Service say I won't receive one as they ran out of stock and the offer is only "while stock lasts." The CPW website is still heavily advertising the offer. I plan to get a refund in store unless they surprise me with a different message.

I have just spoke to CPW and they said I can guarantee that if you purchase online that it will be included, also The VR will come after the 14 day change of mind period , so you wont get the VR on the same day you get the device.

I nipped into CPW after 5 o'clock last night and picked one up. I only asked if they had both bits in stock.

I am really liking the phone. I have the Gear VR sitting on my desk and I can't make up my mind whether to break the seal and try it or stick it straight on eBay/Gumtree. I wonder if it will become a must-have Christmas gift.

Tell you guys what, The VR unit must be better then utterly useless piece of kit they (CPW) are also bundling with the S7 edge. The Logitec handfree car vent mount or should that be the Logitec Useless :disappointed:

I've tried it with three phones and non work. I took back the first unit today to exchange for another new unit. Guess what, same issues on the second one too....Tried it on the Note 4, S7 Edge and Cubot H1......I wish I'd read the Google Play reviews first as all the bad one's are true!!!.

I did ask if I could swap the gift for the VR headset AND pay the difference....I was told it was not possible and that I would have to cancel the current order and reorder!?!?!?!.....Talk about inflexibility and the opportunity to make some extra cash from me. I'm still in my 14 day cooling off period.

I know it's a free gift, but should I be satisfied with one that doesn't work!?!?!.....Will call them tomorrow to see what they can do.....might cancel based on the high principles I have :wink:

By the way, the S7 Edge (Silver) is absolutely lush :O) Do still miss the bigger Note 4 screen and s-pen though.......Also, just received the s-view case in silver, and it's great. It offers more phone edge protection then the Note 4 version of the case as well :smiley:

My incessant moaning and the fact that CPW had supplied me TWO duff Logicrap Zerotouch dongles has worked. I didn't want to cancel my new upgrade deal as it was very good in my mind, I had already loaded up the S7 Edge with all my shizzle and if I cancelled and reordered they couldn't give me the same contract!?!?!?

So, I sent an email got a call, negotiated buying the Samsung VR (2016) at half price (£50) while keeping my contract. Notes were put on my account to this extent.

So off I went to my local CPW to return the dongle and get the headset. Lets just say after lots of incompetance on the part of CPW during this exchange, I walked away a happy person. I should say that I had to take control of the conversation that the shop rep was having with his own cust serv team!?!?!.....They wouldn't do anything for him but did for me.....The force is strong in me ;O)

As for the VR headset is brill in my limited opinion...I mean truly brill....

I got lucky in the end - spoke to Customer Service again and they agreed I was due to receive a Gear VR. I had to go to a local CPW store, and they were out of stock, but they arranged next-day delivery and so I received my VR in the post this Monday, having ordered the phone on Thursday and received the S7 itself on Friday. Lots of frustration getting to that point, but it worked out in the end. The CPW should have done better in the first place, but some persistence paid off.

Hate Carphone Warehouse ... It's like all of the people who work for them can't use flipping common sense. Then again the same type of people who think this phone catches fire lol.

Anyways still a good deal ... Heat Added.
