Some Films and TV shows have not been released in the U.K., so you can import them from the U.S.A. and watch them on your hacked player. Also, sometimes the DVDs are cheaper or contain better extras or transfers than U.K. released media.
You also get to view the shows at the correct running speed, and don't get the 4% speed up you get with PAL format DVDs, which often shows in voices being pitched higher than normal.

Does anyone know if the bit rate can be changed when ripping an mp3, and if it has the ability to get the cd title and track details? I have tried a quick google, but can't find a definitive answer.
