I just bought this TV yesterday for £679 knowing Richer Sounds will refund the difference if price did go down on Black Friday and in a day it got reduced to £599 :-) I haven't got chance to spend many hours on the new telly but I can say 4K HDR and the up-scaling is superb. Plus I was told by the staff that motion processing is great in this model. Please bear in mind, this does not have Freesat HD, only Freeview HD.

We watched ITV HD for about 2 hours last evening and were impressed with the quality.

How does this compare to the KU6400 I wonder? This is cheaper, but I think the 6400 has a wider colour gamut. There's about £80 in it.

We had guests and they wanted to watch X factor. I am mostly hooked up with Plex rather than live TV.
From the RS video it says it has HDR 1000 and has over 1 billion colours? Wouldn't that make this a 10 bit pannel?

As mcormack says, the KU6400 features Crystal Colour, which is superior to the PurColour of the KU6020. I don't quite know how that translates in the real world in a side by side comparison and if it would THAT noticeable, but it does explain the cost difference.

can anyone care to explain what the difference between Freesat HD and Freeview HD.
like say what channels don't you get in Freesat HD that you get in Freeview HD... vice versa?
I believe it's same channels but freesat received through satellite dish and Freeview through aerial.

Worth asking them about Black Friday price match deal if you've bought it recently. I'm going Friday to my local RS for refund = 679 minus Black Friday price.

Yes it does have most of the major apps like BBC iPlayer, Plex, Amazon video, 4od, Netflix, Itv hub, My 5, Spotify, Deezer, iptv player, vevo, BBC news + sports, Stv player, wuaki.tv, including Gamefly and PlayStation now for playing console games with just a controller and many more apps.

I'm afraid not. I've got a 43" 6400 and it looks very different. The bezel and stand is metal instead of plastic. It's also a much thinner set
It does have this "crystal colour" gamut but it sounds a Samsung gimmick so picture quality pretty much same as ku6000 and ku6020
But 6400 comes with additional Smart remote which China makes navigating smart features far easier
Other than that the difference is purely cosmetic. If you're shallow such as me, £80 worth paying for a premium looking metal tv

Currently 10 bit panel at this price will be too good to be true. I am sure it is 8 bit, please check with RS staffs before you buy if you are looking for 10 bit panel.

This is 100% NOT a 10-bit panel. If you look at Rtings and Displayspecifications.com you will see that quite clearly. Don't believe RS, that is pure lies.

The trouble with HD channels is there not FULL 1080p. Instead there just 720p

Hey guys thanks in advance. I have £800 to spend on a 4k tv as I've also purchased a Ps4 pro... Kodi user also. Any recommendations on the best 4k tv for my money?
