Great deal on a Ryobi combo set. Picked this up yesterday in store and got another £10 off with a voucher. Comes in a nice bag to boot.
Drill body alone goes for 65-90 plus you get an impact driver and a combi drill. Batteries are a bit poor at 1.3mAh but overall it's a great deal with the charger.
One drill and batteries will cost £78, impact driver another £90 then the saw body on top!
That's a good price for the 4.0Ah battery, about £15.00 more than the 1.3. I could probably do with a spare as mine are 2009 and 2012 which is pretty good going and they have had some hammer. Used them for work solid for about 6 months before I changed jobs and now they are just diy only but they have done well. Some will only say buy Makita only but the guys in our factory have had quite a few failures on Makita cordless. We now buy Hitachi for all sanders for the workshop and some of the guys are now going back to Dewalt and Bosch.

Damn you Smailsy! I had to go and order 2, didn't I?
Seriously, I've been after a couple of these for ages to use with all my One+ gear (recip saw/circular saw/drills/sanders/planes).
I love the gear, but I've had it years and the original Ni-cd batteries don't last long at nowadays.
So cheers for the heads up! You should post those batteries as a separate deal.

Since when was £65 half of £90? Widely available for around £75 anyway.

The driver is no good at drilling whatsoever, regardless of battery, as it is only for screwing :-)

The impact driver is very good.. you just need to make sure you're using a decent battery. 1.3 is useless.

How does battery capacity alter how good the driver is at drilling?
All it alters is how long it can drive for, not the quality of its driving.

Depends what you are screwing really. I have 1.4s and a 4.0. Yes the 4.0 will hit anything, but then it is heavier. For decking which is a lot of repetitive work, the 1.4s were fine and much less weight so less strain on my hand.

the impact driver (which I bought separately from Amazon last year and returned) is also useless... but the drill has served me well moving into a new house and doing all sorts, and the circular saw works well enough for light tasks.
This isn't professional kit by any means - you can't compare it to Bosch Blue or Makita - but well above the average home DIY non-brands. I picked up several body-only tools in the US (pre-Brexit!) where it's a really well accepted brand even by pros.

The impact driver is excellent. I've done a number of decking jobs with mine and it has been superb. Is it Makita, no, but then I'm not paying Makita prices. It is more than adequate for general DIY, and I've just bought another solely because it was on a lightning deal. Don't really need another, but it was a bargain :-)

Can anyone recommend an adapter for the impact drill? I got one from an earlier deal and it's raw, just the drill.
It works, but pretty useless until I can actually screw things in...
saw is useless and batteries okish.................not an amazing deal but if you want a impact driver and a drill id go bosch blue.............i did and they are totally amazing..........drive a 4" wood screw in like aknife through butter

it definitely does not so what other brands do, I have 4ah batteries and the saw is crap, I use trend blades in mine, the same one that's in the makita, the makita can cut through a worktop in about 60 seconds, the ryobi would take about 15 minutes, and I'm not exaggerating, the motor just can't cut it (pardon the pun).
I've kept mine as it's ok cutting 14mm osb board but even then it's not amazing, just ok.

I've got almost all one+ tools, I love them but the saw is the worst tool ever made, even struggled cutting 9mm mdf.... don't even think about cutting a worktop or something. my makita brushless one however is also 18v and will cut anything. I would still but this but then sell the saw on eBay

Me too, but I disagree about the saw.
With a a decent thin-kerf blade and a 4Ahr battery, its a great bit if kit to have and does whatever other similar brands do - ie cuts

Got all three, the drill, impact driver and saw.
Drill drills.
Impact driver is savage and will happily drive 100mm screws into wood.
Saw lacks power but that is the same for all battery saws. You have to take your time.
Would I buy again. Yes.

I have the combi drill and a cheap Ryobi driver (body only) which I paid £34.99. I used both my drills whilst working for a sign company and both would drive No. 12 x 3.5" and 4" screws in all day. Added bonus though.....they do it quietly.

I've got an old Ryobi drill (must be 10 years old now) and very happy with it - apart from that it's still going so I can't justify replying it with a shiny new one .
I've got the better of the two circular saws (slightly bigger saw blade I think) and it'll happily repeatedly cut through 3"x2" beams and so on.
Impact driver also very happy with.
The teeny 1.3a lithium batteries are terrible however - BMW cuts them out really early and trying to use with an angle grinder was riculous. I've stuck a 5ah lipo from RC cars etc into an old Nimh pack and it goes for months with the tools having loads of power etc.

Don't buy a Ryobi sander. Dust gets in the switch and stops it from working. Drills are good and heave one of their hedgetrimmers and lawnmower but won't ever buy one of their sanders again. Not sure why they dropped the aH to 1.3. Mine are higher than that and still have one from 2009.

despite it being slated I love my One+ system but the circular saw is useless on a 1.3-1.5mah battery so factor in the cost of a 4.0 or higher battery which is well worth the invesment.
