Product recall on watchdog according to reviews.
Put me off reserving
If they've been recalled and were on watchdog I wouldn't buy it better being safe then sorry,not worth risking you or someone else's life for £19.99,bad on Argos for still selling them. Glad I didn't purchase one now!

I bought Amazon tablets from Argos for my kids, the plugs from chargers got recalled. Soon all fire 7's were removed from all shops.
Eventually when they went back on sale I bought another from Argos......, guess what? Same plug!! Fortunately Amazon replaced these & all was good.
Just passing comment that a timescale in Argos meant nothing to my particular product. Hope they haven't pulled the same stunt with the iron.

Just to clarify op, I think your deal is good...... great price drop. I haven't voted either way. It's not ur fault the product been recalled, therefore doesn't deserves a cold vote. Can't vote hot on a product that brings fear either tho.

Rubbish irons mine only lasted just over a year,the light colours were'nt aaccurate often burnt clothes using it.

I just brought one, the batch numbers are not the recalled batches. No smoke so far .
Tried to get one yesterday, sold out in the superstore I visited. Asked if there were any available in store close by, told sold out across the board. So either they're very good or something afoot

Had a Braun TS745A Tex Style 7 Steam Iron 2400W, £22.50 from Tesco Outlet, Its brand new, 12 month warranty, same iron is £64.50 @ Tesco Direct.
