Cheapest deal on a carbon framed racing bike for a while? Normally £1000 or so for this frame. The Sora groupset gets pretty good reviews despite being basic. It will do anyone fine to get going with road cycling or commuting and gives plenty of room for upgrades! Lots of sizes and options in stock too.

Looks like a decent bike for the money. However, price probably should include £20 delivery as not many will live close enough to Preston or Cardiff to make click and collect a viable option.

Cheers, will edit. Assumed they did free delivery, they do for non bike orders. Still a good price.
Also apologies for the grammar in the OP, been up since early O'clock cranking out reports and presentations and stuff.

Why?
I've used them before, stuff arrived, didn't cost much. Couple of bad reviews, same as every shop ever but there are tons of their bikes around so obviously most people have an ok time buying from them.

can you give a reason, I bought a bike from them and had various other items and had no issues so I would have no trouble recommending them

If you're going to post a comment like that you should really add some justification or anecdotes to your comment

Given this is the newly launched Sora 3000, with Sora brakes & Deda finishing kit...this is astonishing value for money. My first road bike was the £450 Triban 500 '14 (now badged 520). That is a Sora bike...but an Alu frame with Btwin brand finishing kit. Wow.

I've never had any problems with Ribble and bought a lot of parts and accessories. A couple of mates ride their bikes and never reported any problems.
This looks a really good deal (although the tyres are a bit cheapo!).
Screw in BB bracket too - which I've found is much better than cheap press-fit.

Cheap Chinese frames coupled with a cheap chain and group sets, yep its cheap and value for money! If I bought this I would probably spend another £500 on upgrading it to a suitable standard, but I will never own one because they only do Chinese sizes.

Where do you think most frames come from?...

Shimano Sora is a great groupset at the price, especially as this is the full set.. no corners cut.

This price leaves plenty of cash for upgrades later :sunglasses:

I just love the comments on Chinese frames, do you all have 'British' frame's from Derby? It's just a badge folks, same factories, in China. Nothing wrong with them. I agree that Sora is brilliant value for money. Heat from me.

It's about quality control, plenty of low quality products made in the west. If they have good quality control over there then what's the problem?
My iPhone is made in China and that's certainly not cheap or inferior quality

Nothing wrong with Sora, I have a bike with 3500 (last Sora) and it has worked perfectly for 5,000 miles and counting with only the jockey wheels and chain(s) being replaced. The only difference I can tell between my Sora and 105/Ultegra shifters are the latter are slightly more comfortable to brake with as they're a bit flatter.
I've just spent pretty much this on importing my own frame from China (Exchange rate didn't help).
Epic deal!

This is a very good deal indeed, I have just bought a Ventura CP50 carbon road bike (£400) of near identical spec and I'm very pleased with it. The Sora system is great as are the Shimano R501 wheels and have found the Chinese carbon frame to be perfectly OK.
