WHY MIST? First of all, it is a MUST for everyone who loves retro computers like Amiga500, Atari ST, Commodore 64....(and many otherothers). The idea was simple - "let`s introduce device, that will take minimal space at desk, wil be max. ergonomical and user friendly, and much more powerfull than it`s ancesstors with highest compatibility possible". Wasn't aware of that, not much you can do if the price increases were out of his hands, however a few weeks ago an Amiga 600 fitted withe Vampire II went for over £600 on ebay, not bad!

I thought he was mainly getting grief because he put a poll out asking how much people would pay for a vampire 1200 and the majority voted for £300 or something like that, completely pricing out the existing customers

Yeah, I think you're right. Was it up to 500 euros or something ? I'm pretty sure I would gut the 1200 and keep the case for that price. It's too much for a retro system but some people take it to the extreme. I've an amiga 600 also that smells a bit like wet fish as it's arching somewhere :smiley: I'd rather swap out the whole kit for a new enhanced motherboard
