The style of the console is a personal taste, I prefer the slimmed down design which reflects the consoles ageing hardware

The slim console is much more efficient than the launch PS4, maybe not so much as the C Chassis

but looks so ugly compared to the original and is built of very cheap material,feels inferior and budget compared to the original for sure.
it has slightly faster Wifi,runs slightly cooler (who cares) and uses marginally less power.
I'd go for the original any day.
they have built this slim version with eventual plan to sell it £150 or under, so anything above that is overpriced for what it is..they just cut from quality to be able to sell it cheap.

The consoles that were sold off were the older model, £150 wasn't the typical selling price of the PS4 at the time, it was just a stock clearance price, and such a bargain that people were going crazy to get one so cheap

This is a slimline version of the same console, which runs cooler and consumes less power.

For those that got the older style for £150, well done, but that deal was a one off and is long gone and shouldn't really be compared with this

I've been out the gaming loop for a while. Can somebody please explain to me if these are the same consoles that were £150 the other month or are these superior, and how? Thanks.

The original 'fat' PS4 you probably can't really get anymore new, they were all being sold off in the summer £149 bundles.

The PS4 'slim' is basically the same but in a more compact chassis. One of the £200 bundles doing the rounds tomorrow is probably what you'll want. Grand Theft Auto if they like that, or FIFA/Uncharted if they like football & adventure games. Or this £189 one if they love Star Wars.

The PS4 Pro is a slightly more powerful version which at the mo is only really recommended if you have a 4K telly or PSVR virtual reality headset. If you don't have at least one of those things, benefits over a PS4 slim are negligible and certainly not worth the extra £100+ for most people.

I regret my Xbox from Tesco now.

Delivery date is estimated to be in the 2nd December. Need it before Final Fantasy 15 is out. Only reason why I'm buying a ps4. Going to play cards close to my chest not going to fold on this one. Better deals could yet arrive.
