I vaguely remember my friend getting one for her daughter a couple of years ago. The mother and daughter thought it was great fun, however I remember them saying it takes ages to do a decent sized candy floss. I wouldn't have the patience, especially with the washing up, storing of the item afterwards. Seems gimmicky.

I've never managed more than a teaspoon on sticky looking sugar from this but all reviews say otherwise and a friend used the same one to great success at her sons birthday party. So it must be me!

We have the lakeland one and in a year have probably only used it twice. Even following the tips they gave us, it doesn't produce great candy floss imo

I bought one of these last year for a tenner, it makes very little candy floss, needs constant new sugar and reheats and is a nightmare to clean! I could live with it if the fun factor was longer but your looking at a minute of frantic stickwork trying to make something happen then a full cool down and sugar renew.

We had no problem with it. You have to leave it to heat up first, but you can keep adding sugar to make more and more once it's hot. You do just have to keep things moving, don't let it build up because it'll catch on the spinner, gunk it up then it's just a sticky mess.

The only reservation is that candy floss on tap does get surprisingly boring. I think we'd have preferred to keep it as a nostalgic holiday treat!

had one and found same as others that it does produce candy floss only slowly so no good for partys as it takes to long to get any quantity. thankfully ours broke within a few weeks so my daughter asked for a refund to buy a new ice cream maker instead.
