Is the remake Ruby and Sapphire worth it or should I just play X & Y then move to Sun and Moon? (Never played the original Ruby and Sapphire)

sorry, just realised this was ruby and not sun/moon. well there is still a demo, but the game is really good. i enjoyed ruby in the first place, so playing alpha sapphire was a revitalising experience. more pokemon available and online capabilities improve the game. it will feel really weird to you at first, but you'll love it
