With the new ps vr headset coming out I was looking into getting one but already had a move controller. Need another one for shooting games and saw this in toys r us in Livingston. Same hardware as the currently flog but a fraction of the price. Twin pack £70 in Argos. Still a few left in their clearance section.

I find the PSVR more comfortable than the Kinect. The Kinect digs into my nose.

It's funny how these couldn't be given away after the move platform flopped and now they are commanding the bucks because PSVR has given them a new use.

Sony says you should buy these new Move controllers because the older ones may fail due to the age of their internal batteries. BRAP

So you say they are not the same then the only reason you give why is because the batteries will be older?

Source? Not read this anywhere. I have PSVR and am using my 2 move controllers from years ago with no problems.
Great find OP.

they are right. people bought all the old amazon stock before psvr came out and they had a 50:50 chance of holding a full charge. old move stock is over five years old so the batteries are not in top condition.
still, if they dont hold charge you should just take them back; it's worth the risk for the saving!

lol, are you serious? Sony says you have to spend 70 quid on new Move controllers because the old ones' batteries *might* run out and you believe them?

Lmao!!!
Same applies to normal controllers then surely????
Mine still work fine

The fact you said "BRAP" makes your argument against this even more invalid, along side the ludicrous idea that the old ones aren't worth buying. *sigh*

I purchased two move controllers on release and, due to the lack of support, they were hardly used. They've finally been given a new lease of life thanks to the PSVR and the battery life is fine. I would only purchase the "new" Moves over these if Sony have updated them to allow charging whilst the PS4 is off or from another outlet but, from what I've heard, they haven't.
...and even if the battery life might be suspect on the older models they're still the same controller. I call pish on this!

Sony says buy new ones so they get the money, not someone on ebay. I bought two from car boot sales and the batteries last as long as my ds4 does Of course, I may just be lucky.

Or just replace the batteries and still make a big saving. I'm happy with my order of a pair of new ones from Amazon for £59.50 a few week back and happy to wait for them.

erm what. you can charge the controllers (new or old) while the ps4 is off. they can be charged from any usb source. mobile phone chargers, pc's, or any other usb port that outputs power. it is the settings on thw ps4 that allow the console to still output power while in standby.

Has anyone else seen this in their local store? Dunno if there's any point in ringing up as its reduced and they probably wouldn't want to go hunting for the price.
