This is the basic friendly version. I have this. Its an ok trimmer not the best. For 35min use you need to charge 10 hours which was a pain.

Is that the exact same model? Not that I imagine it is vastly different. Just goes to show, when someone (fagol) gets one thing wrong (inefficient), don't presume anything else they said (10hr charge) was correct. Should have check it mself, its a trimmer not a toothbrush. I was responding to their point about it being inefficient rather than their 10hr charge claim.

Efficiency depends on how you measure it, which is pretty subjective, in battery terms it's the amount of output for the amount of input, the fact a battery charges in an hour not 10 hours simply means you put in more current, heat it up more and reduce it's usable life, doesn't change the efficiency much (if you ignore the effect of heat on the whole chemical process). If you're a manufacturer, this is a good thing, it automatically makes a product fail sooner, since you can't replace the battery, they make more money whilst simultaneously convincing you, you've bought the better product, probably paying a premium on the price.

If on the other hand efficiency is measured as the ability to shave for 60 minutes, every 2 hours, then the 10 hour charge time is pretty inefficient.

I've got a Philips beard trimmer, the 45 minute run time, for 4 hour charge time on mine, is enough to get my beard trimmed twice a week for a month or so, that's all I require - I've never measured the either run or charge time. A 10 hour charge time wouldn't be a problem, since I always have more than 10 hours between shaving. Incidentally mine will run when charging so in an emergency I can still shave.
