That's a steal at under £45. All I've needed in a Smart watch. Lasts over a week between charges. I have the original Kickstarter version.

QUIDCO would be £4.50 not £4.99. Delivery would be £3.95 so only a £1.04 saving in that process. If linking from QUIDCO to ARGOS, paying in advance then collecting instore for a total order of £50 that should get £5.00 QUIDCO. This would also qualify for a £5.00 ARGOS voucher, but it would be an online code not an instore voucher. So a possible £10 saving.

7days battery vs 10days on steel. yes you can reply using messseenger, what's app, text, SMS etc on pebble anyway (don't use iPhone)..

tbh at this stage (with 3rd gen out/coming out,) you may as well pay the extra for the pebble time (2gen)at £70 on Amazon, or pay extra 49£ and get the 3rd gen of this which includes a heart rate monitor at £99. I have a pebble time steel and it's best thing I've ever bought!! 1st gen doesn't have mic so no voice messages with it..

Is the pebble steel much better than this one and have more functions?

Thanks for replying. I was looking for something that would measure distance travelled.

I assume this has GPS and will track distance run and be able to plot on google maps etc?

no GPS, but if you take your phone too you can use it as remote for some running apps...

Great little watch, bought a couple of years ago at this price and still using it to this day. Liked it that much that I backed the new Time 2 on kickstarter. If you are on the fence about a smart watch then this is a fantastic way to start.

Text while driving? Hope you don't drive off the road and end up in a lake, but at least it's waterproof.
I have one of these £25 from Amazon. It's okay for the cash. Kind of cheap looking. Has separate battery for analogue part so when you forget to charge it up it will still work as a watch.
It's just a bit to hit and miss. Has never worked notifying me of phone calls and emails stopped sending notifications a day or two ago. WhatsApp and texts work perfectly.
I also have an Apple Watch but bought this as I prefer an analogue watch. Might go for one of the fossil ones next, more expensive but hopefully more reliable

The display on mine started corrupting after 11 months. Pebble have been excellent in arranging a free replacement
Like it for the txt and WhatsApp notifications at work, and BBC Sport footi updates at the weekend!
Well worth £50 in my opinion.

While I was waiting for Pebble to send me my third replacement for display corruption issues I managed to pick up a Garmin Vivoactive for £99. This is now 14 months old and has been very reliable and there has been constant improvements in the Connect App and the colour touch screen is nice. Nevertheless, for £50 this may be worth a shot.

This lasted 2 months had to return for a refund, was advised that this issue was due to my son downloading a game and the watch being unable to cope.

Toyed with the idea of a Chinese android watch as I don't want to waste to much on something but battery life and build quality put me off. Gear 3 looks beautiful but £350 for a watch is steep imo

it should update itself to the newer pebble timeline. Curious to know what you think was missing though

I think it was that I have muted pop up notifications on WhatsApp but these still came through. Looks antiqued for a smartwatch too imo

it's probably worth the money it is now. Just looks so dated so I returned mine. Very basic and menus short of options.
