This seems to be quite a good deal for both 5 stars reviewed budget Amplifier and Speakers.
Plenty of very good reviews online.
The speakers are usually £190 on Amazon and the amplifier £229..
Might be a good option for someone that wants a budget HiFi system.

ok..Im not interested about this item but I wanted to check the silly commenting about Onkyo being an unknown brand and is it the same company that makes the yogurt?..I shouldn't have doubted myself.
these jokes are not funny anymore. You guys have to come out with something new now.

Why would someone spend so much on an unknown brand?

Humm could it be because the guys that do reviews for a living actually rate this amplifier at the same level of other known brands that cost 2 to 3 times more?
As for the speakers they are recommended in every website.
I'm sure you could get a great HiFi system for £1000, but then it wouldn't be a budget option..

never understood why so many of these budget Chinese brands go hot on here when for less money you can buy a recognisable and respected brand like jvc or bush or Toshiba.

An amusing Onkyo comment there from a recognised and respected manufacturer of Onkyo comments. I don't know why we have to have so many low quality comments on this forum. Most of them are knockoffs made in China.

I bought this amp and these speakers back in June for £315. Very happy with them. I think Richer Sounds and Peter Tyson have been offering this bundle for around this price for a while.

I had an Onkyo AV receiver for about 4 years, for the money i paid it was very good, never had a single issue. Replaced it by a Yamaha 4k AV receiver last month and for the purpose of this deal i bought the Q Acoustics 3020. I have to say i paid £190 for the 3020s but what an amazing sound, you won't be disappointed.

Clearly those saying they haven't heard on Onkyo should shop somewhere else. Stick to your Sonys etc.
If you want educated, they are one of the best in the business.

I almost bought the Marantz PM6005 today
I'm constantly going back-and-forth about which integrated amp I want..
I know it's usually down to personal preference, but can anyone here give their opinion on this vs the Marantz?
I mostly listen to original soundtracks, nothing bass heavy.
It's much appreciated

I bought this amp last year. I can't fault it. It won a fair few awards too and it's got UK tuned circuitry.
I've got this paired with a Marantz CD5005 & Q Acoustics 2050i floor standing speakers and it is a
cracking set up.

You are right, very basic for connectivity. However with a few tricks you can improve it.
You can get an audio chromecast and thats your wireless sorted.
Also you can get converters for digital/analog if needed.
