went in to Tesco this afternoon I have been looking at these for a few weeks and seen the price drop each week. if I hadn't of just bought a new TV I probably would of bought this. it's the cheapest I've seen it anywhere so far.

I have one of these, It's ok but a bit disjointed. If you select any of the nowtv channels from the tv guide it doesn't play the channel, instead just takes you to nowtv, where you have to select it again. The remote is also very basic,, there are no numbers so you have to scroll up and down the guide rather than jump directly to a channel.
You have the ability to play videos from the usb slot if you install the right app (slips my mind now, I have plex on mine)
I would say it is good value at this price if you want to be able to pause and rewind live tv, and for the HD channels. But I would not want to use it as my main tv box.

I collected this from Argos today and it's up and running
I've got it hooked up to a cheap indoor aerial from eBay (this one) and it very quickly picked up 171 channels, including 9 in HD! Picture quality is great, with no breaking up.
There is a good lengthy review of the box on the Argos page for this item (I linked to it in a previous comment in this thread), and I agree with most of what the reviewer said - the Freeview UI is clunky (probably has to be as there is no number pad on the remote) but usable. The Catch-Up and NowTV UI is unchanged from previous boxes, so shouldn't present any difficulties.
Overall, for £25 including 2 months Sky Cinema, I'm well chuffed (I bought it mainly to get FreeviewHD on a full HD 1080p TV which only has a Freeview SD tuner ). If you want one, and you've signed up for 10x Nectar points with eBay, buy it from eBay-Argos (if they've any left) before midnight tonight (Sunday 27th Nov) for £24.99 and 250 Nectar points.

I'll report back Sunday evening, as I'm picking one up from Argos and I'll be running it off an indoor aerial

And do they work on an indoor aerial?

HP, Did you check the price with a scanner or at the tills? SEL may be incorrect. They have an HD Freeview tuner so get all the freeview channels. Does your existing TV get all the channels okay and have you had a new aerial since digital switchover? If you're using your old aerial it'll be an old 'A' group for Sandy Heath. You'll need a new 'W' or wideband one or better get a "log periodic" from Screwfix. They do a mini one for about £12.

Hot! Can't decide whether to get it or not though- if the aerial lead has to go into the box, doesn't that mean I can't watch freeview like normally on my tv? Is the added feature to be able to pause tv? I wish it could record too!

Bought one of these yesterday and I cannot get it to work, it gets to the setup screen then freezes. Has anyone set one up?

Don't have it running through an AV amp do you? Mine did this on a denon amp, had to connect direct to TV and set now TV to 1080p and now works through amp. :man:
The problem I find is the new boxes run very hot so now have a fan inside. Might not bother some people but the hum is doing my head in. If you don't need the freeview guff then I would stick to the older box.

Mine was just more or less plug and play. You need the aerial lead going into the box not the TV (unlike the old boxes)
