Yep, bit complicated.
Take out the Nowtv trial - a card will be required - but cancel the trial as soon as you have tested that it works. (The trial will still run the whole 14 days.)
When you apply future offers/vouchers you must write in your diary when the offer/voucher ends otherwise Sky will charge you AFTER the offer/voucher expires. This is how they make money. Or simply cancel a voucher/offer as soon as its working. (Not sure about this but if you apply any voucher before the end of the trial period it may become active immediately rather than starting from the end of the trial period - minor issue.)
The Chromecast bit. If you don't know, this box lets you watch various "content" on your TV using your smart phone as a remote control. EG. Google Play Movies, BT Sports App, iPlayer, 5OD, Channel4 etc and also there's a NowTV app. This means you can throw your NowTV box away. (Unless you value the ethernet connection - the Chromecast is only wifi.)
The offer. To get this offer (2 Months Sky/NowTv Movies for £2) you need to have your Chromecast plugged in and working.
Then click on the above link from your controlling smartphone :- https://www.google.com/chromecast/redeem/
This should open the Google Home app and allow you to get a NOWTV voucher code (amongst other offers - see screenshots in above post) which you then plug into https://account.nowtv.com/passes at any time before 31 December 2016.
Or something like that.

Is this because you are charged £1 per month, so they take £1 when you buy the pass, and another £1 for the following month 30 days later.

The offer is tied to the ChromeCast. So if you use the offer attached to her Chromecast, she cannot also use the offer. I'm not sure but it might even lock the offer to the primary email account associated with the device.

You can use your Now TV account on four devices and watch on two devices at the same time.
So someone could watch one film on the family TV while you watch another film on your PlayStation upstairs.

I have a question.....
I am at my friend's house now and she has a Chromecast which I have just connected to and downloaded the app.
I don't have Chromecast at home though but I already have a Now TV account for movies and entertainment.
If I sign up for this offer now whilst I'm connected to her Chromecast, will it apply if I am only watching Now TV via my tablet and box as usual please?
Thank you and sorry for the long winded question!

It's basically Sky Movies, so you get all the new premieres on demand. They have a decent collection of older movies, but really it's mostly worth it for the premiere movies, as in most cases your getting them a few months before Netflix.

OK, I was very interested in this, as owner of a few NOW TV boxes and a couple of Chromecasts.
I am giving someone a voucherless (eBay) NOW tv box for Xmas, so I thought I would try out the process. I was a little confused by some of the instructions in this post, so let me try and codify the steps that worked for me, after I had distilled all of the above and the other threads on Entertainment pass!
(please note, except where stated, I was using a browser on a desktop PC)
First, I set up a new account to avail myself of the 3 months for £1 a month (Entertainment). That went smoothly, using:
I was able to set up a brand new account within a couple of minutes, and did not require any evidence that I owned a NOW box. Of course, I had to enter my card details and, as mentioned above, installments are collected monthly not upfront, so you cannot take the precaution of cancelling straight away as you can with a "14 day free trial".
So far, so good! I then set about availing my new account of the 2 month chromecast trial.
I tried it on my desktop, hoping to link it to my new account. I could not get it to work - did not get an error message but got taken to the "full price" pages. So, turned on my Chromecast next to the TV, and went to the Chromecast app on my android phone (now called Google Home). Went to offers, and the "2 months for £2 movies" was there. Clicked on it and looked at the URL.
The URL ended with a voucher code of NOW3YPAW9BLBD6. I have no way of knowing if that is unique to me, or universal, but I suspect it is individual as the "app" stopped finding it when I switched my Chromecast off from the TV..
So, at this point I entered NOW3..... as a voucher code into the "voucher code" page
Conclusion: I now have 3 months entertainment and 2 months movies (normal full retail cost of viewing package for 3 months / 2 months charged on a monthly basis would be £40.95). Just have to remember to cancel the movies in 5 weeks time and the entertainment in 9 weeks time to avoid auto renewal at £9.99 + £6.99.....
Even if you had to buy a Chromecast for up to £18 (current rates) you would be getting it for "free" compared to £19.98 for 2 months movie subscription...
